In their own language so that should play well with the semi judges. The rap takes the song from a late eighties rock tune to something more contemporary, but is then thrown back into he eighties with a Bryan May guitar solo. I like the violin suspense build up at the end, which give the tune something it was lacking throughout. I still feel this song is still missing a cutting-edge arrangement.

Thinking back to last year's song that failed to qualify - that song was much better than this and only failed to qualify because of the judge's wild card for Finland. The votes only tend to come from their direct region and those countries that dislike Greece (Turkey, Albania). Other than that, support is thin. Votes could potentially come from Scandinavian countries for the rock aspect of the song. Much rests on that guitar solo!

Btw I think that after last year(and the year before? cant remember) Macedonia will get a whole heap of sympathetic votes which will be enough to qualify - general concensus is that the wild card robbed them last year and the fact that Finland went on to finish last in the final embarrassed the process a bit.

PS I wrote all that before the chav in the white started rapping...jesus wept. Rap+Eurovision = fail.

Haha, me too gav. One of the first things I remember was singing every word while it was on the telly and almost greeting when it didnt win. A while ago now, must have been...errr...10(!)...Eurovision had me hooked young.

I listen and I listen again. I have to agree that the chav on a tag could ruin it for them. What gets me is, why the hell does he hang around at the back of the stage? It's like he's heckling them, as if he's saying "yer mom tasted great the otha day, enit."

Beanie, I'm not sure about your sympathy vote for last year. Keep this as your last option on the betting slip!

I honestly don't think enough voters remember or care about FYR losing on 10th laqst year, for it to make an impact really...

Regarding rap, I would agree that it should equal fail in ESC, but remember 75 cent? What was up with that?

Will wait and see the to qualify prices but I'm not totally counting this out. 3/1+ might arouse me a little.

Semi 1 is so awful that between the songs qualifying in around 6th-10th I wouldnt be surprised if there was nothing in it - a few dozen televotes here and there. Voting levels could well be low and so we might see a shock or two.

Its a reasonable draw for FYROM with Bosnia and Serbia here, and there's a few countries that seem to enjoy dated 80s rubbish(Belarus usually enter one every year) so it might sneak in.

At the moment I think it will just miss out, but im only interested in the larger prices in a trappy semi like this.

Beanie, I've just updated my qualification table and I reckon that final place is between Macedonia, Malta, Bosnia and Poland.

I detest both Poland and Bosnia (even though Bosnia has been slightly improved).

I have always liked Macedonia to be honest, and have remained very open minded regarding qualification. But, I don't like the price; just too much of a risk for very little gain!

As bad as it sounds, I see the most value in Russia - and I wouldn't touch that over principal. They only make it so most of Europe has gas this Winter.

Nah, not for me this one. I've managed to struggle through most to the end but this is one of the few I just can't make it. It's woeful 'small european country soft rock ballad' which makes me cringe every year. Very, very, very dated sounding and just no quality in here anywhere in my opinion.

I definitely don't want my opnion to put you off though gavin (or anyone). I'm guessing I'm a quite a bit more harsh than most people will be.

I agree Mickey, but I think this pisses all over Bosnia. Trouble is, Bosnia will generate far more televote support than Macedonia... well, it should!
