Re: Finland
Beanie, I agree. I don't like it, but like Portugal last year, these songs have appeal. Although, I don't see this having half as much appeal as Portugal or some of the other great "own language" songs.
I think there will be some good qualification bets for this. |

Re: Finland
Wooty wooo!!! I enjoyed this. Might end up as this year's drinking song for me. It's a bouncy, quirky, wee thing. I don't think this style ever does that well though? It's maybe moving towards being slightly too silly and eccentric which is off putting. I liked it and fancy the girl on the left. Not sure I could back it though. We'll need to wait and see.

Re: Finland
Those girls are t'riffic innae guv? Slightly bonkers. I'd like to see this do well just for being so different to everything else this year. Blimey. That girl on the left is still super sah-hexy. Hope she moves on to porn after this. I'll download her so hard.

Re: Finland
Cant find any live versions of this(apparently the vid above is mimed, its difficult to tell.) Difficult to draw many conclusions before then as this is such a borderline qualifier...foot stompy, different, bit mad, but there are comparisons with previous years where this type of song has struggled a bit.

Re: Finland
I was only going on reviews I'd read from people there.
The first bit is live - the bit thats not the Eurovision song. Listening as closely as I can I think they sing over the real track in the entry - but its not entirely clear. Sounds like two voices during the first bit though when just the one on the right sings, so my guess is they are singing over it. |

Re: Finland
I find this a really, really, tough call. I think it may end up being just a little too.... I don't want to say silly... 'eccentric' perhaps? It's fun and different but it's really quite dated. Norway showed last year how to do this kind of traditional, folky, thing for today's Eurovision.
edit: Just reading back and see I already said: Quote:
Seems I haven't changed my mind then. |
