Forgot this was the one the drunken re.... revelers voted for. I suppose it does make a difference depending on your mood. May not work out this way but seeing as there are quite a few depressing entries... anyone think something like this gets a slight boost? I think I said the same about Greece. Think I just saw madben disagreeing with that 'theory'. I'm just throwing it out there as a thought to ponder.

Suppose. There are usually about 12 of them though. I don't know why I try to get myself into these things. It's those fucking drunken revelers that are throwing me off.

Where are these drunken revellers you speak of? Are you talking about yourself? All I can see round these parts is gays and punters, thats what Eurovision is these days. Even some gay punters.

Ah yes, you're right. I have them down as the same type of mob in the OGAE clubs that are voting Denmark top of their tree...I agree that on Eurovision party nights that the more uptempo songs are showing up most strongly.

What that means for the final...not sure.

I think casual('drunken') voters are more common in Britain and the west than anywhere else - I think the further east you go the fewer such party situations you get on finals night. Britain loves poppy party nonsense(It was UK and Ireland that both gave the Latvian Pirates big points a few years ago...not many others did...)

Most people in that bar were probable screaming queens, so anything with a beat or looks like a drag queen will get their vote.

Must have been 100/1 or so.

The exact same thing happened with the 2008 entry - price crashed when it performed, but ended up finishing nowhere.

100/1 would be more accurate...and even then pretty stingy imo.

Ok... either I'm insane, or other people are. I've now laid this for a lot at @2.24 avg. There's like a million available @2.40.

I just don't see how this one is superior to 2008 in any way. Quite the opposite.

I think, although I can't really remember EVERY song from 2008, the large number of mind numbingly dull ballady type songs this year is making things like Iceland suddenly appear like the most amazing buzz. Even things I pretty much detested at the start (Greece, Iceland, although for me I was quite nice about them) seem far better than they actually are due to all the depressing dirge.
