ive bet against the ukraine in a couple of match bets ussus. I never even took the political betting into acount i must admit. I just thought that bar being quite a good stage show the song was just a jumble of noise.

A profitable Eurovision, but not nearly as much as the last two.

And after all that, I came out the other end with just over 5pts profit - big bets coming in and was looking not too bad until the final set of points which single handedly sunk the UK top 4, Sweden 11th-20th(they were 21st) and Germany bottom 3 bet and prevented nearly a 20pt profit, but no complaints.

Was it all worth it? Feck yeah!

Apologies to anyone following the Bosnia punts - really thought they would a) get more points scattered around Europe from the juries, and b) more big points from the ex-Soviet countries. In the end it was only the Balkan nations that really went for it so I guess the scepticism over whether the Soviets would go for a 'Soviet' song was well founded.

This is the 2009 thread pimpin!

But yes - most bookies have now switched to top 3 places - but any bets placed when it was top 4 will stand as top 4.
