Just checking Betfair and they have Iceland @ 2.1 to qualify - I haven't heard Iceland yet but bet365 @ 1.57

Iceland's problem is what comes after it - it's decent enough on its own in that its a good opener but it's gonna be completely forgotten about 10 minutes later when Sweden, Turkey and the Ukraine, all sub 1.20 to qualify, have performed.

They can make it, but it just seems too big an ask for all the first 4 to qualify(esp given 1 from the first 10 made it in semi 1) and as the other 3 seem likely, Iceland will probably be the victim of the draw here.

I'm not sure on Albania now either. I'll stick with it cos I quite like the song, but she's pretty hopeless in terms of performance and could sink this one. Puntwise, Macedonia are only about 1.60 ish but have a great draw, and good geographical support as always. Portugal will be one of the performances of the night, or so all the live blogs from there keep saying, and Hungary should stand out well enough.

I definitely can't have faith in Portugal, Hungary or Iceland. So that still leaves me only Albania and laying the Pirates (ah-haaarrr, is that a peg leg in your pocket?)

Ok. All my focus goes to Albania. The vocals aint half hot mum and the song is good enough. More quality here than quite a few of the others I've had the misfortune to hear. As the Bullseye audience would say... "GAMBLE MICKEY!!!" And I am.

It seems I was slightly wrong on the geography point on Albania - I'm now reliably informed that all their neighbours hate them

Take the noose off your neck tho mick - it seems that that is all completely offset by the fanaticism of the millions of Albanian immigrants spread around Europe to vote for themselves.

Vocally good yes, but that's it, no lights, no props, no act, I just think they could have done so so much more.

That video above is better than I remember the other two being Beanie. Quite powerful. I actually never pay attention to the politics or geography (well, only if I'm at the coin flip stage) and go with what I feel and that video made me commit. It's great and I believe pettiness can be overlooked if someone does display a bit of talent. I hope so anyway.
