The gamble is well and truly on - gambled into 22s on Betfair - they are going bananas for this.

To be honest I'm sure its just money following money now - and it should be pushed out again by the off, but we'll see.

It crept up this one did - based on live performances/recordings it looked to have no chance, but word started circulating early this week that the performance was just unbelievable - I'm cursing the fact that I read a lot of trusted pundits rave about it and did bugger all till just after she had confirmed their early thoughts with that belting semi performance, but hindsights a nice thing.

The gamble overnight is really just the word getting round to the full market - it's got soo much to do to win given the geographical points, but I'd love if Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland etc etc rallied together for once and went for this. I don't think they will, but this for me(well still behind Israel of course) has to be the purists choice

I think, to my untrained lugs at least, they've went for, dare I say, the eastern european, ethnic, folky sound. S'why I was getting so excited (along with the crowd at the semi). Seemed to have everything including, what's already being dubbed, 'The greatest performance ever by a living human being'. By me, admittedly.

I desperately want to see this baby pull in votes from all regions and my child-like Eurovision innocence says it can. It should. It will. Muh-haybe. :chicken
