I know its at Wembley but can anybody persuade me not to back Barcelona @ Evens.

I think thats a smashing price more so considering Ferdinhand cannot run anynore, Barcelona are just going to run him ragged, Vidic also seems to be lacking a yard of pace lately and if he needs to cover Ferdinhand too then he's going to leave himself wide open to an early bath, the only person i can see playing in front of those two is Carrick and its a big ask if he's expected to try and nullify Barcelona's midfielders, he bleeding struggled against the likes of Wigan coming at him.

I've no doubt Fletcher will be in the mix too but he'll do well to get a sniff of the ball and will have to run like he's never ran before.
i think Fergies biggest problem will be whether to play Park or not as he dropped a bollock dropping him last time and needs somebody prepared to run and chase down for 90 mins, if so then Fergie will probably just go with Rooney up front and try and pack the midfield, that will Limit Uniteds chances at goal and you just cannot see Barcelona not scoring, and if which is more than Likely Barcelona score first it will give Fergie a huge headache.

I wouldn't be suprised to see United come out of the traps flying, trying to nick an early goal, then playing them on the counter, if they don't get one and Barcelona settle in then United will be in for a very long night.

I hope you're right Slick, but i dont know, i've a feeling for Utd tbh.

It maybe a fear more than anything so take my thoughts lightly, but Hernandez worries me alot, he's like one of those very religious types that seems to believe anything is achievable, you know just like Holyfield did before he got in the ring with Tyson, on paper an impossible task, but not if you have God on your side.

It's a huge price for Utd i think, i may have to take it for insurance.

The biggest factor for me is the venue and ticket allocation, i can see Utd getting tickets from all sources and filling the Stadium with 75% reds. I've no doubt they will have the 12th man, if they have either the ref or lady luck too then it's theirs.

since the semi's i've had a feeling about Man Utd as well but EVENS or better about Barcelona (21/20) looks a cracking bet.

I'm going to be cautious about it because one on my biggest bets was on AC Milan at EVENs to beat Liverpool in the Champs League and we all know how that ended up

Ive just put £300 on at William Hills in the shop @ 11/10 on Barcelona, as much as i want us to win i just cant see it. We have the defence we have the attack but not the midfield to beat Barca and the midfield no matter what anyone says is the most important part of the team and who have we got a old Scholes who is past it, Nani who sometimes plays well admittedly better this season than before, Carrick who is crap same for Fletcher. Giggs is doing very well but all the sh1te with Imogen coming out this week may affect him, Valencia isnt isnt he class of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. So all in all i wanrt us to win but cant see it

on the face of it i really like the look of this bet, but finals are notoriously cagey affairs with teams often just prodding each othe for 60-80% of the match. how do final corner stats stack up in relation to group matches? curse you basher i don't often bet on cup finals but now you've given me itchy fingers...

barcelona games very rarely have alot of corners.. anyone who watches barcelona knows 50% of the game is spent with them passing the ball along their back 4.. into midfield then back to the defence

if you manage to stay awake you will notice there is very few corners in barcelona games

yes i've had look at the uefa stats that give the games with the most corners. granted they haven't listed everything over 11 but i can only see one for barcelona and only 3 for man u. it's not looking an attractive bet to me but good luck to anyone who's on it.

real madrid vs barcelona semi final only had 2 corners (it ended 1 corner each)

i love corner bets and do very well on them but this isnt one i would get involved in at all


i t is also a tactical thing aswell.. with alot of teams they get to the byline and go for the cross knowing the cross will either go into the box or it will be blocked for a corner.. if you watch barcelona when they get to the byline they always cut back and come infield.. they dont want corners because they are a team full of midgets

alot depends on who they are playing and with ferdinand & vidic so immense in the air barcelona wont be looking for many corners, rather would rather keep the ball and play through the defence

Although I'm not a Man U fan , I do follow them bettingwise , made some money on them this season especially in the C.L. but for the final I cannot see past Barca.
Both sides have good keepers
Both sides have very good central defenders , I would be worried if Mascherano had to play in defence
Both side have strikers that could score from half a chance and they can create chances from difficult situations.
It is in midfield that there is a significant difference . Barca have the creative class with Xavi and Iniesta .
Man U have grafters in midfield and will need them on Saturday.
The only place where I see that Man U have the advantage is the tactical nouce of Ferguson.
I'm looking forward to this match and my prediction is a Barcelona win

Good stuff Rob/Betting Donk,theres a good argument for under corners,your right Barcelona dont do crossing and dont average many corners and most as I said we would be relying on Man Utd,but as you both know shots on goals need to be bloked and saved so there is that,Man Utd will defend better then any other team they have faced so far imho,so trying to get round the back of the utd defence wont be easy,so they might just be resigned to pot shots on goal,but as said in other post I have covered with both teams to score bet.

I heard on the radio PaddyPower are offering moneyback offers if Barcelona win on some markets.
