Re: Champions League 7-8th Dec
good odds for Tottenham, Inter and Rangers...Tottenham top their group wid a fantastic start in the Champions league and a definitive win over Twente...as for Inter, they are playing Werder who got nofin to win in zis campaign, therefore i guess a nice n easy win for Inter...Rangers r up to Bursaspor who as i see did not win any match so far in the Champions League...
So Inter @2.40, Tottenham @ 2.30, Rangers @3.25 |

Re: Champions League 7-8th Dec
this info from bbc about the situation of each group
Group A Tottenham and Inter Milan progress to the knockout stages, while FC Twente will play in the Europa League as Werder Bremen cannot topple them because of a poorer head-to-head record against the Dutch. Spurs need to match or better Inter's result to top the group. Remaining fixtures: FC Twente v Tottenham Werder Bremen v Inter Milan Group B Schalke and Lyon have made it through to the last 16, while Hapoel and Benfica are left to battle it out for the Europa League place. If things are tied then Schalke have the edge over Lyon and Hapoel have the advantage over Benfica. Remaining fixtures: Benfica v Schalke 04 Lyon v Hapoel Tel-Aviv Group C Manchester United and Valencia are sure to progress to the knockout stages. United will finish top unless Valencia win at Old Trafford. Rangers are guaranteed to finish third and go through to the Europa League. Remaining fixtures: Bursaspor v Rangers Man Utd v Valencia Group D Barcelona made sure of progressing in top spot by beating Panathinaikos, while the other qualification place is between Rubin Kazan and Copenhagen. Rubin, who are away to Barca, need to better Copenhagen's result at home to Panathinaikos in the final games to go through - if not they will be in the Europa League. Remaining fixtures: Barcelona v Rubin Kazan FC Copenhagen v Panathinaikos Group E Bayern Munich have guaranteed top spot and will be joined in the last 16 by either Roma or Basle. Roma, who came from 2-0 down to beat Bayern 3-2 in the latest round, will go through if they avoid defeat at Cluj in their last match or Basle fail to beat Bayern. Remaining fixtures: Bayern Munich v Basle CFR Cluj v Roma Group F Chelsea had already secured top spot but Marseille clinched second place by beating Spartak Moscow 3-0 in Russia in the latest round of games. Remaining fixtures: MSK Zilina v Spartak Moscow Marseille v Chelsea Group G Real Madrid and AC Milan have secured their place in the knockout stages with one round of matches to go. Real go through as group winners. Remaining fixtures: AC Milan v Ajax Real Madrid v Auxerre Group H Arsenal need to beat Partizan Belgrade in their final match to guarantee progress. Shakhtar Donetsk will top the group if they avoid defeat to Braga, who are also in the hunt for a place in the next round. Arsenal can still go through if they draw or lose to Partizan Belgrade but only if Braga do not improve on that result. The Gunners can also still top the group if they win and Donetsk lose to Braga. Remaining fixtures: Arsenal v Partizan Belgrade Shakhtar Donetsk v Braga Teams level on points are separated by: 1) The results of games between the teams in the tie (if tied, by goal difference and then by away goals counting double). 2) Goal difference in all group games. 3) Highest number of goals scored in all games. 4) Highest Uefa ranking over the previous five seasons |

Re: Champions League 7-8th Dec
Over 2.5 goals in the Spurs Twente match for me (evens)
Every single one of Spurs Champs League games have gone over so far and they'll want to win this one to take top spot. Twente are guaranteed 3rd so they'll have the freedom to attack while Spurs are pretty poor defensively - just 3 clean sheets in all competitions this season. |

Re: Champions League 7-8th Dec
Came on to mention Spurs, Inter and Rangers but notice Kushal has beaten me to it. Fingers crossed they come off for us.
May take the overs on the Spurs game as well. [I appreciate that doesn't add anything new, just thought I'd share my agreement] |

Re: Champions League 7-8th Dec
From the BBC ...
FC Twente goal: It's harsh if you ask me, handball given against Benoit Assou-Ekotto as he raises his arm to elbow Roberto Rosales's fierce drive. By the letter of the law it's correct, but the Spurs man was merely protecting his face. , Isn't that a contradiction ? Letter of the law sums it up , where do they get these idiots ? |
