Few bets for me:

Porto -1 EH...Huge odds,2.55 for team who won around 20 games in row.CSKA isnt in good condition,playing poor and this odds deserves bet.

Over 2.5 Rapid and Man City and Odense...Simply i think we will see goals in this games.Rapid play with Besiktas,both teams will play for win.Man City and Juve,should be good match.Juve have bad defence but offensive part can hurt City here.Odense is not in best condition but they can score.Still,i cant see them stoping Stutgart so over should be good.

Was also interested in Athletico tonight as they are knocking on evens against Leverkusen who have 4 key offensive players out but I'm not sure if they are going to rest Forlan or not, might depend on whether Aguero is fit or not, will keep an eye on that one and wait for team news..in the meantime..

Zenit v AEK Athens

Zenit were mighty disappointed not to be in the CL this season losing out narrowly to Auxerre over two legs, they are very strong at home anyway and won the first game in EL 1-3 at Anderlecht where the always prolific Kerzhakov grabbed a hattrick before half time, he also got a hat-trick in the weekend 6-1 demolishing of Saturn and got a hat-trick the last time these two clubs met also! He is 2.2 anytime with bet365 which is too high for me..
Zenit like previous years spend money when it is needed and have a good side with Danny and Bystrov the creative players in midfield and Bruno Alves at the back, they are top of the Russian League and have only been beaten once at home over the last couple of years, the price reflects their tag as strong favourites but we'll get to that in a min..
AEK are in a bit of a crisis I actually had a bet on them on Sunday against Olympiakos Volos after reading they had been unlucky in previous games but they were hopeless against a recently promoted side that has eyes only on survival and lost 3-1, the coach left after the game (not before the fans had thrown a broken chair and bricks amongst other things at him after the game!) they lie fourth bottom of the league and although they won at home 3-1 against H.Split in the first game there is little comparison between Split and Zenit and indeed between AEK's home and away form..as most would expect they are reasonably strong at home but fairly poor away, they are also missing a couple of players for this game through injury, as far as I know Zenit are at full strength..

The odds are poor and no surprise given the above, best 1.3 I am happy to take the 1.6 available for the -1,-1.5AH, despite the evidence to the contrary I don't think they will run away with this by too many quite a lot of Zenit's victories are by 1 to 2 goal margins but I suspect AEK will be in fairly poor frame of mind heading into the game, I am tempted by the 1.9 for HT/FT as Zenit score a lot in the first half of games but I'm never confident taking this bet as it puts a lot of pressure on and I expect AEK to park the bus to be honest, it might be a case of when Zenit can break them down not saying this won't happen in the first half but I prefer to go on the side of caution..

i will take lille tonight in my opinion a superior team to ghent and this game should have goals as gent are an attacking team and i expect lille to score one more- lille take europe serious and with the defeat to sporting makes this game important- lille are unbeaten this year in the league although a lot of draws but shows they are a quality side this game is only 70 odd kilometres away so a bit of an anglo derby which should bring extra motivation-lille are one of the better french teams with some decent players like mavuba gervinho hazard and frau -gent are a top 5 belgium side who have definately improved over the last 2 years but in europe they lack quality and experience and to me thats the key-i think tonight lille will be going home with the 3 points

I wouldn't read Much into the Inter V City game Yorkie as it was pre season and a pretty much reserve side for both teams, I'm still waiting on team news for City as in the last Europa game Mancini rested a couple of players , if we put out a similar side to the one that beat Chelsea on Saturday then I think we'll win this by a couple , I'm going for a City win 2-0.

Liverpool seem to be making hard work of it, looks to have draw written all over it.

On what I've seen so far Slick, I'd be tempted by a Utrecht win. They look far more dangerous going forward and Lucas seems to want to give them the game on a plate!

Well Utrecht should have won, but that doesn't help really!

Just how much longer can Torres maintain his presence in that team? He really is shite this season. How long does it take to come back from an injury? He just looks laboured and can't be arsed to show any enthusiasm to get involved when times are hard.

Perhaps he's already decided to leg it back to Spain for January?

Either way Liverpool are in trouble. They just look feeble. Anyway, that's for another thread!
