Re: Champions League Qualifying 17-18th August
Zenit v Auxerre HW 1.65 @ Betdaq
This one looks straightforward to me. Zenit unbeaten all season, also strengthened recently with £20m Bruno Alves from Porto and the 2 top players from Russian champs Rubin. Italian coach Spalletti has got them going well and they seem to be a clinical side when I've seen them. Auxerre punched above their weight last year taking the last qualifying spot on the final day of the season and have started poorly this time round with 2 draws so far. Boiling hot in Russia too at the minute, so Zenit's match fitness being halfway through the season could come into play too. I expect something like 2-0 for Zenit, but will play safe with the HW Also looking at Sparta v Zilina. The only thing that puts me off are the suspensions of attacking trio Wilfried, Sionko & Matejovsky. If Sparta can cover for these three I'd be looking towards a low scoring home win. |

Re: Champions League Qualifying 17-18th August
Remember though how hard Tottenham found it get this chance, and now theyre in a game seen by the vast majority that theyre almost certainties to go through - that alone brings huge pressures and though Redknapp wont let them get over confident, its always hard to get yourselves up for a game that you SHOULD win. The money involved is HUGE and Young Boys can play without fear as they are expected to lose. I recall occasions last season when Tottenham were an absolute shambles, and we are only 4 days into the premiership season, wheras the Swiss have been playing a month.
They looked decent against Fenerbache and though Tottenham is an apparent step up, it wont be easy for the premier league outfit. Looking at their league figures, they arent your typical high scoring swiss team, theyve scored 1 at home in 2 league games, and 4 away in 3 games. 4 games ending under 2.5 from the 5 games played. And the away game in Turkey was a 1-0 win. I expect a tight game, and though Tottenham are the favourites and class could tell , I wouldnt be surprised in a 0-0 or a 1-1. Grim |

Good shout Grim. Predictably, it was Michael Dawson's man who scored.

Re: Champions League Qualifying 17-18th August
Braga v Sevilla, overs looks very high goes at 2.4 on betfair, dont really understand the logic..Braga are a very good home team and generally keep things tight but they are decent going forward and will certainly be going for the win, Sevilla's fitness will be a bit behind but they beat Barca 3-1 last week and see no reason to think they wont score at least one tonight, if this were a Sevilla league game the overs would be nowhere near that as nearly all their games go over 2.5..I'll be having a bit of the 2.4 available

I'm having a bit of Sampdoria and Seville.
Braga played a poor Celtic team and will find this tougher and Bremen have sold Ozil and if Sampdoria fraustrate them then the fans could turn. interest stakes only and 2-0/3.0 correct scores |
