Sporting v Nordsjaelland

Sporting lead the first leg 0-1 and by all accounts dominated and should have won by a more commanding scorline having had something like 9 goal attempts to 1, Sporting have a decent home record as you would expect of a side of their stature winning most home games and have a good pedigree in the EL only going out to eventual winners Athletico last season on away goals..Sporting are in the process of a few comings and goings, selling defensive midfielder Veloso for 7.5m euros and rumours of attacker Djalo going to Spurs but currently rumours is all that is, Spanish midfielder Zapater has arrived from Genoa for 2mill euros and may make his debut..

Sporting have had a decent pre-season and are winding up to what they expect to be another good season, I fully expect them to win against a side that are not in the same league to be honest and while the 1.2 available is not appealing, the early handicap prices are pretty good considering this and I have already placed a considerable bet on the -1EH and a slightly smaller amount on the -2AH, I did consider the -2EH but the price is 2.75 which is not that much better than the -2AH and I always feel a bit twitchy about putting bets on a side to win by three clear goals..

The -1EH and -2AH will not be as high as they are currently come Thursday, that I can guarantee..

I actually consider Utrecht to be excellent value at 2.25 DNB although granted they are not as good away as they are at home, 1-0 up from the first leg they can afford to sit back a bit and hit on the break, wait for any team news but I hope Luzern's odds keep falling as it mean Utrecht's will keep rising!

I am in a dilemma.....whether to do a -2 handicap or -1 for sporting and juve wins tonight?
I have never bet on a teams to win by 3 goals as i see it as risky business, but i feel these teams are a country mile apart from the opposition tonight.

I am thinking of lumping £100 on the double, as bet 365 are currently offering a 100% matched bonus for existing customers. So i need to be pretty sure lol, i'll have a good old think.

juve -2= 6/5
juve-1= 4/9

sporting-2=7/4
sporting-1=4/6

Jack, I would be waiting for team news before committing myself to two teams winning by 3 goals. Juventus, being at home and already in possession of a two goal lead, may experiment a little.

On paper, Juventus and Sporting should murder their opposition, but as we all know, the gulf in quality between teams doesn't always play it's self out during the match.

And to be honest, I would never want to rely on Juventus or an Italian team to score three goals, let alone win by three!

Placed a similar double last night which I have been playing with in my mind for a few days, the reasoning for Sporting I have already outlined but I have doubled them up with Stuttgart -1,-1.5AH which works out at a very reasonable 2.5 with Sporting -1.5AH (same bet as -1EH but price is better) ..prices might have changed by now though..

Stuttgart are playing Molde who are having a terrible season in Norway sitting in 13th and havent won for 10 games in all comps losing 6 of these, Stuttgart havent started their season yet but won the first leg 2-3, this will provide an important part of their pre season and with only a one goal lead there is no reason to think they will let up..their three who played in the WC (Cacau, Serdar Tasci and Khalid Boulahrouz) will prob not be involved but a couple may be on the bench. Big class difference. Might take them on the -1EH later on today..

Whats the 100% matched bonus about then? Didnt know anything about it, did you have to put a code in or something? Tend to ignore most e-mails they send me..

Juventus will change players but I think Diego is going to play, they are trying him out as a deeper playing second striker as I understand it, Gazzetta Dello Sport has a decent article on the game but as they are 2-0 up from the first leg I would prob avoid..like Gav says, never like betting on an Italian teams to win by more than a goal particuarly in a game like this, if you do bet on it dont watch it as more than likely their relaxed attitude to the game will have you tearing your hair out! I certainly consider Sporting a better bet given the circumstances..

Juventus coach Del Neri plans to field a similar team to the selection which enjoyed a 2-0 success in Dublin last Thursday, only two changes:

i think the biggest problem for Juventus (and the punters) is the weather...now rain very strong
