Re: Champions League Qualifying 27-28th July

Two bets tonight:

Anderlecht (-1.5) at TNS 1.86 Ladbrokes

Huge class difference. Last year Anderlecht won the Belgian league with weeks to spare, along with a good run in Europe, including wins over Athletic Bilbao amongst others. Game to be played at Wrexham, meaning TNS will be away from their artificial pitch. 0-2 or 0-3 likely scores for me.

Zenit at Unirea 1.91 at Betdaq

Zenit mid-season, under Italian manager Spalletti unbeaten all year in nearly 20 games. Won 0-3 at Rostov at the weekend whilst resting 4 players for this one.
Don't know too much on Unirea, apart from Petrescu has gone as manager. They didn't impress me last year, bar from beating Rangers at Ibrox.

Good luck all...

Think that's the home game next week that refers to. As Celtic have included it in season ticket book to boost sales.

this game is away so I assumed one channel would pick it up!

I think it's streaming online, Betfly. Read that on the Celtic board on BBC anyway (and the date in those odds is wrong as the game is tomorrow I believe).

I agree with you Garfield ,TNS are happy they are through to this round of the C.L. as the losers play in the next round of the Europa cup., this quote from their website
Quote:
"There's four more ties of football for us to compete with. Let's hope it's Champions League football."
It has also guaranteed a minimum income from Uefa of nearly half a million Euros, with more in the pipeline depending on results.
TNS had a good win last week against Bohemians playing on their plastic ,where they were unbeaten in the league last season . TNS can play defensively when playing on grass , last season their away games were very low scoring , in 17 matches they only scored 20 goals and they only conceeded 7 . I think they will be on a damage limitation exercise tonight .
I believe that Anderlecht won the Belgium Super Cup last weekend .
I think that Belgium football is much superior to Welsh League football , TNS without the advantage of the plastic should be beaten by Anderlecht tonight.

Re: Champions League Qualifying 27-28th July

some info about Sparta today

Sparta rested few regulars in last game, so they will be fresh, other important players like Wilfried and their key player Kucka are still doubtful (didnīt play in last game), but I think they will be ok today. Czech season already started, so this a little advantage for the czech team, but Sparta didnīt show much in the league and harvested only three points from two games with a goal in extra time. Didnīt know much about Lech, but it looks like important player Lewandovski left Lech before the season.
Out on Sparta side are still few longterm injured players and newly regular Vacek.
Very hard to predict something in this game, odds on Sparta side looks a little bit low against polish champion, but the experience is on czech side.

I backed Lech in the 2nd leg v Baku in the last round where they lost 0-1 and had to rely on a penalty shootout. They only scored 1 goal in 210 minutes v the Azerbaijan team, so without Lewandovski in their side Sparta could be worth a shout if they get some of their firepower back?

not sure, around 5000 polish fans are going to Prague, so the home atmosphere will be almost on Lechs side, odds around 1.5-1.6 are really too low, it is still polish champion, ok Sparta can win this, but I will wait for better odds and exact line-up for live betting

Re: Champions League Qualifying 27-28th July

Two bets for me today.

Gent Double Chance @ 3.50
Kyiv have just started there season and are unbeaten so far. Gent have had a lot of pre season games and so far seem to be playing well and confidence is high going into this game. They only just lost 1-0 to Anderlecht on Friday night which is a better result for them than in recent years. Both teams are at full strength and i believe tonight Gent can get at least a draw, maybe sneak a win.
My prediction Gent 1-1

Zenit @ 1.85
Zenit are beating teams for fun lately and Unirea have only just started there season drawing twice, I believe Russian football is far superior to Ukraine football as proved in recent years. Zenit have sent the full team over and i believe they will win with ease tonight. Also overs @ 2.35 i will be taking as that is to big a price.
My prediction Zenit 2-1

I'm also on Zenit - watched them on ESPN on Sat night and they looked ok and are doing well in the Russian season

Also done Salzburg - backed them at 5/4 shop coupon and was gutted to see Lads had moved them out to 7/4 on line - robbing bassa's

Re: Champions League Qualifying 27-28th July

I may regret this but here's a link for Celtic game: http://veetle.com/index.php/channel/view#4c4c33f4c7187

Don't make it go slow.

Almost took Celtic on the handicap but... I'll just watch this and hope to learn something for the return leg.
