Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

In the local getting 13/10 for this double, 1/2 on chelsea and 8/15 on fiorentina to progress.

Chelsea have that away goal and along with the facts their a better team than liverpool, their super performance on saturday vs united and the fact rafa has never scored at the bridge i think the blues are well on course for the final.

Its well documented the injuries of rangers and the way their performances have been on the slide this past while and i just cant see them qualifying in italy.

a great double at 13/10 imo im gunna have a nice slice of later on. apologies if starting a new topic in here messes things up a bit.

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

Good luck with part II, Cinny. Not sure what Rangers you'll get tonight but for your sake I hope it's the comedy, gangly, funny shaped, snooker players, Rangers and not the solid, blue wall who look dangerous on the break.

They must be due a real thumping though as I feel the sides they've played so far have performed very poorly. I did dream many months back about playing for the Gers in the UEFA cup final but, haha, I'm sure that's nothing to worry about. If my Celtic daft family ever found out.

All the best.

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

soccer is very near to a total catastrophy imo,

all teams are building a defensive wall in front of the goalkeeper, it is a hard job to score nowdays, i think new rules should apply, otherwise....hehe, you will see rangers to win the uefa cup

however, fiorentina was crappy in attack, very poor skills by some players, they just couldnt finish...

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

felt extremely after the match. It wouldnt have bothered me if rangers had of deserved it but the way they rode their luck throughout the game and extra time was unbelievable. Fiorentina i suppose in a way in the end deserved what they got. I used to love Vieri but the man is simply past it, shouldnt still be playing football at that level. Shows how far Serie A is behind the Premiership and La Liga.

only thing that keeps me ticking over is the little nibble i had on zenith at 11/2 before the semi finals

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

I thought people were pretty harsh on Vieri. His age and the little amount of time he had to get into the game I thought he posed far more threat than the rest of their team put together. He got into positions and, ok, he didn't have the finish but I reckon he was the kind of player that would have either notched or created a goal for them given more time.

I saw the pundits on the highlights show being very smug and patronising and basically saying he had embarrassed himself. I was kinda raging at that. Just was. How many other of the Fiorentina players got themselves into goal scoring positions? Decent ones at that. Hmmph. Youngsters have no respect these days.

Good day to you sir.

I didnt know the pundits gave him grief as i didnt listen to them after the show but from what i saw the man was a shadow of his former shelf, the same man 5/6 years ago would have rippled the net but i suppose thats the way things go when your touching 35.

What about Rangers/Celtic for the league?

Whats going to come from that?

I really do believe Celtic have the league now. I have been saying to my mates for over a month now after analysing fixtures that i think Celtic can still win it and now im more confident than ever.

Rangers away to Motherwell, Aberdeen, St Mirren and a couple of tricky home games i can see Celtic maybe even winning by 3-4 points?

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

I fancy the Celts for the league myself however when we were beat by Rangers att Ibrox it did look terribly bleak! After winning the two old firms at home it looks possible. The Gers have went through a long season which is looking to be taking its toll. Aberdeen and Motherwell away definatly do look tough!

Re: Fiorentina/Chelsea to progress

What were the odds Beanie quoted a few weeks ago for Celtic? I think it was in..... I'm sure it was after a Rangers UEFA cup match and we were laughing at their defending. Ah ha! It was after the first leg against Sporting. I'm away for a look.

The 5.0 on Celtic to win the League might not be the worst punt in the world

Celtic 1.96/Rangers 2.04 on Betfair.

I only got round to firing a bit on at 4.00s - not quite decided what to do with it yet - need a look again at the fixture list once the SFA stop their umming and ahhing. Will go some way to recovering the dosh I did on Fiorentina to qualify anyway
