Re: Champions League: 20th February
Chelsea to qualify, thats obvious, returns 1.15
Milan to qualify which returns 1.90, amazing fantastic ( just for me idiot fan of italians) double, small fortune on that event, never big, because big is giving permanent income! ![]() ![]() |

Re: Champions League: 19th & 20th February
What a match the Arsenal v Milan match looks to be would make a great final to say the least.
After seeing the UEFA cup results this week i wouldent be surprised to see all the English sides doing well as there seems to have been a vast improvement this yr in the quality of their football and at long last come to terms with what European football is all about and buying players to suit. AC Milan are an excellent side but not getting any younger, anybody know there average age compared to Arsenals? Future v past here Imo and i fancy Arsenal to run the legs of them tell the truth and get a result. Liverpool may struggle as may Man U who Seem to make a meal against French sides on the rd. Wee Arsenal and Chelsea double for me. |

Re: Champions League: 19th & 20th February
Some of the price changes after the weekend's results look like over-reactions. The fact that Inter beat Siena, while an under-strength Liverpool were knocked out of the FA Cup by Barnsley shouldn't make the draw at Anfield any less likely.
Great news for anyone who was going to back Celtic and think that Barcelona are a mess - Celtic had a conviincing win over the weekend and are still a better price now, even though Barcelona's result at Zaragoza doesn't change anything. They are still struggling and the win at Zaragoza came about by way of a late refereeing decision in their favour - nothing new there. Lyon's defeat at Le Mans means they've been pushed out - United are shorter after beating Arsenal - hard to disagree with either of those moves. |

Re: Champions League: 19th & 20th February
I tell you something...Liverpool/Celtic double pays 13/1 roughly. Thats a pretty damn good double if you ask me.
Celtic v Barcelona Barcelona should go through but when did Celtic become a bad side at home in Europe and when did Barcelona turn around their stuttering season and become a top top side again? Celtic have probably the best home record in the Champions League to be honest. Top sides like Man Utd, Milan, Bayern have come to Celtic Park in better form than Barcelona are now and still haven't come away with anything. Celtic are usually around the 3.00 mark at home tops in Europe so if anyone can tell me why they are nearly 5.00 i would love to hear why. The transfer window has done wonders for Celtic. Prior to that there were too many players who were far too comfortable in their positions as they had no competition such as Venegoor, Brown, Donati for example but since the transfer window and Celtic strengthening these players have stepped up a gear and we now find Celtic playing some great stuff just now. Defensively they are slowly improving but its on the attacking front where they have so mnay options. You also have that top class option too from McGeady and Nakamura and Celtic come into this tie in confident mood. Barcelona not the Barcelona we have come to known of the last few seasons. The quality is definately there but they aren't gelling aswell as expected. Etoo, Puyol back from injuries but it will be interesting to see how they fare. I would love to see Bojan and Giovanni start as i feel they are too lightweight and would make the task that little bit easier but we will have to wait and see. Barcelona been far from consistent and they won't relish this game too much. I think they would really be happy with a draw to be honest and won't press as much as they will be pretty confident for the game at home. 1.91 is waaaaaay too short for the away so a lay of them is the safer option as it covers the draw but i will be on the 4.90 for Celtic. Silly silly price when you take everything into account. Milan and Chelsea are also interesting prices. |

Re: Champions League: 19th & 20th February
tonight predictions
1. Inter not to lose; Italians in top form, while Liverpool can not beat teams like barsnley or whatever, benitez is in a big mess and liverpool in big crisis 2.Porto not to lose; here i rate portugese team as too classy for the germans 3. Roma not to lose; Real is terrible away, and Roma definitely very motivated for this match, after they are hopeless for the campionato 4. Olympiakos not to lose; i dont like the starting line up of chelsea, looks poor in my eyes, and i predict that chelsea will not creative chances to score Olympiakos is a very difensive minded team when playing for champions league, probable scores are 1-0, or 0-0 good luck ![]() |

Re: Champions League: 19th & 20th February
I'm off to the celtic game tomorrow and looking forward to it immensly the atmosphere shall be unbelievable. Boat leaves 6.30am. I think the Celts will definatly get a result i think Celtic +1 at around the even money mark is the safest option.
Arsenal must win to build up a lead to take to the san siro while Porto should have enough in the locker to grab a draw. I fancy the Turks chances at home, i think chelsea can muster up a drab boring 1-0 win. |
