Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Bolton Wanderers v Aris
I have been out for more than two weeks, no betting during this time so no posting either. Couldn't miss this one though as it's another big night for Aris in this year's uefa cup. Aris lost its first game of the season at the Greek league last Saturday. They did miss quite a few players for that one, some of them are going to return for the game at Reebok. Big question mark is goalkeeper Chalkias that is injured and may not make this one. This will be a loss for Aris team as he had an excellent time since he joined Aris and he showed a totally different form compared to his days at Portsmouth where he made a joke out of himself. He seems to provide security at the back and his physical presence is an important factor. If he does not make it, 2nd choice Slovak Keleman will replace him. Left back Brazilian Marco Aurelio will probably miss this one as he just recovered from an injury but he is not ready for such a game. Central defender Brazilian Ronaldo Giaro will probably be back at the starting 11 and that is also a huge boost for the team as his experience and quality are indispensable. Also a couple of players (Bolivian def. midfielder Nacho Garcia and Spanich right winger Tony Calvo) that were suspended for the last league game will make it back to the team, first one will definitely be at the starting 11. Overall player by player, Bolton has the advantage but in football this is not always decisive. They do not have the creativity that other English teams like Everton or Spurs that take part at the uefa cup have and if Aris is concentrated for 90 mins, avoid mistakes and have their fair share of luck, they can take something out of the game. A draw would be sufficient for the guests as in that case, one more point from the next game vs Braga at home may be enough to secure qualification. Bolton will be aiming for the 3 points in order to qualify, in any other case it will all come down to their last game at Belgrade against Red Star, which may prove pretty tough. However they do have a difficult away game at Liverpool coming and one should wait to see if they underestimate Aris rotating more than they should. Their win against ManU should be a morale booster but one should not forget that Anelka's goal was their only shot on goal in that game. Of course I am not comparing ManU to Aris and we should expect more opportunities for them on Thursday. Aris fans will be travelling at Reebok, I would expect something like 1,500 maybe 2,000, which is not a great number but they will probably be pretty noisy. I know for a fact that I will be personnally responsible for a considerable part of the noise as it's been some months now that I have not watched Aris live and I have to make up for it . Anyway, once more no pick from me on this as I am clearly biased. Hope some of the info is helpful. Good luck to Aris and to your bets (as long as they are not on homewin ) |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Just a quick note with some news for Aris. It does not look very good I have to admit.
First choice goalkeeper Chalkias and really important center defender Ronaldo Giaro are still doubtful and may not make it. Left back Vangeli and midfielder Ivic will also miss the game cause of problems with their visas. Left back may be a problem as Aurelio will probably miss this one, although he did travel with the team. Anyway...still have hope... |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Spartak Moscow @ 3.35
This will be a very tight game with lots of physical fight when Sparta Prague host Spartak Moscow. Moreover Spartak Moscow are undefeated in their last 6 games and are a hard nut to crack. News is the visiting team have a number of injuries to contend with as Renat Sabitov is out with a broken leg, Santos Batista Mozart is out with a knee injury, Maxim Kalinichenko and Pavel Horvath still out and Pavlyuchenko is not fully fir yet. The good news is Vladimir Bystrov and Wojciech Kowalevski could feature after recent injury problems. The Moscow team managed a 2-1 victory against Bayer Leverkusen in their only game in the group, while Sparta come into the clash with three points from two games. They kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 home loss to FC Zurich, but bounced back with a 3-2 win at Toulouse. The value is with Moscow in a game that could go either way. rockshark |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Pavel Horvath is Sparta player not Spartak, the loss with zurich was after stomach infection that hit almost whole Sparta team.
Sparta - Spartak Spartak without many regular players, moreover players are unhappy, because they wanted some rest and go on vacation. They played last match two weeks ago and had preparation at camp in Spain where is much warmer than here. This is very important game for Sparta, because last game in group will be played in Leverkusen, so they have to win this game. I think line -0,25 on Sparta is good. Sparta -0,25 @2,04 Betfair 2,5/10 |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Yes, the same opinion like Mord. For me it is typical low scoring game.
Sparta won last game in cup 3:2 in Toulouse but lost last league game 4:2 with Brno. I agree with Mord that they have to win at home. So perhaps home win with small stake (1:0 :-)) |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
I reaaly strugle to find a good bet for today, I also like Atletico and Tottenham the most.
But I'll go for some different betting tonight: The following away teams not to score (prices from 1.80 to 2.50 in Expekt): FC Kopenhavn Rennes Toulouse (our good old friends shouldn't disapoint us tonight) Larisa Hapoel TA Aberdeen - strong bet, although Atletico's defence isn't something special AB Allborg |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
ok, now i realise that Aberdeen stand little chance in Madrid...
but 159/1 for the Home/Away half and full? Madrid start as well as people expect and then get a man sent off in second half? Is that really a 159/1 shot? It might well be money up the pisser but i feel obliged to take the most wild of stabs. |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
cant see aberdeen getting anything from spain apart from a dodgy tummy.
Bayerns odds have been cut against Braga and after there slip up in the earlier games I think they'll win but 4/7 a tad too short |

Re: Uefa Cup 29 Nov
Well i think Bolton could be in for a shoe in here as yesterday while waiting at the Reebok for some folks to attend a funeral the Aris team turned up for a walk around and half of them were puffing on ciggies
, Not the fittest bunch i've ever seen in my life and you'd expect a prem team like Bolton to sort them out. |
