Elfsborg will probably have to do without five of their key players - at least are Fredrik Björck, Stefan Ishizaki, Jari Ilola, Anders Svensson and Mathias Svensson rated doubtful.
Crvena Zvezda Belgrade - Levadia Talin FC 31-07-2007 1.20 5.50 11.00
Finally Red Star is playing CL.
Levadia won away against Pobeda and draw at home in first round. Imo this is clear home win. Red Star was solid in friendlys last few weeks and they have few more players who are very good.
The biggest power for Red Star will be 15000 fanatics who made amazing atmhsphere every time when Red Star is playing. I'll be there also
Odds are low but could be good for some combo.
BTW What you think guys about Zilina-Slavia?
Imo Zilina is in great form and very strong at home. I want to try Zilina DNB what you think?
Stitch highlighted Elfsbourg injurys against Debrecen who have two players out themselves top scorer, Ibrahima Sidibe will not play either, he was banned after being sent off in his last European game and Zoltan Kiss their attacking midfielder.
any one got any info on levski sofia?
was thinkng they should have too much ability for the finnish champions, best odds evens now
salzburg, shakthor donetsk and slavia prague other possible aways?
SAlzburg and Sahkhtor are big favorites in this matches,BUT Slavia has a lot of injured players also I know that Zilina has some injured players in defence ,maybe over Zilina concide 4 goals against Dudelange at home
My intention had been to take all big underdogs with the handicap after watching them clean up in the first rounds of CL and Uefa Cup. But I went back to last year's results, and this is what I saw:
1st round CL qualifiers in round 2 (2006)
Home in first leg: 0-1-5, 3-13 goal differential
Away in first leg: 0-1-4, 1-12 goal differential
Now, this is only one year and I have no idea what the handicaps were, but in virtually all cases it appears the first-round winners were totally overmatched, the typical result being 0-2 whether at home or away (4 overs, 7 unders).
Tomorrow's handicaps include just one game of -2, it looks as though the favorites of -1 or -1.5 are a reasonable bet (7-4 last year). If I get a chance to go back to 2005 and 2004 I'll let you know.
2005
First leg home: 2-2-3, 10-12 goals
First leg away: 0-0-3, 0-7 goals
The two winners were Anorthosis 3-1 over Trabzonspor, Artmedia 5-0 over Celtic. Note that the other 5 games had a goal differential of 2-11.
2004
First leg home: 0-3-4, 7-17 goals
First leg away: 0-1-2, 3-5 goals
More like 2006, but 4 draws...it looks as though 2006 is the anomalous year, the least competitive of the three. Still, the total over three years:
First leg home: 2-6-12, 20-42 goals
First leg away: 0-2-9, 4-24 goals
...shows that home-field advantage for the underdogs is still very slight, and it's very tough for these teams on the road.
What does this mean for tomorrow? Three first-round survivors play on the road: Elfsborg @ Debreceni -0.5 +108, Zeta @ Glasgow -2 -156, Sarajevo @ Genk -1.5 +102. Under the circumstances, I'd say Debreceni is worth taking, with the handicap, at better than evens. Nine of the 11 games over the past three years have been losses, two draws. Genk is a tougher call: just five of the 11 games have been losses by 2+ goals. And just three have been by 3+ goals, meaning that Zeta could be worth plus-money for +2.
Soccer - Genk - spread -1½ (+102)
for the regulation time held on Jul 31 at 1:30pm [pending]
Soccer - Debreceni - spread -½ (+108)
for the regulation time held on Jul 31 at 1:45pm [pending]
Knowing nothing about these teams' preparation or motivation, but knowing how poorly first-round qualifiers have done on the road in the first leg of the second round, I'd say Debreceni is worth taking, with the handicap, at better than evens. Nine of the 11 games over the past three years have been losses, two draws. Add to that that Elfsborg is a) from Sweden, and b) is underperforming on the road, with 1-1-4 over their past six (four league, one CL game and one Svenska Cup), and this looks pretty good, even if Debrecen is a Hungarian team. For what it's worth, they're 3-1-0 in the young Hungarian season, and their last non-Cup loss at home was Nov. 6.
Genk is a tougher call with the 1.5 handicap: just five of the 11 games in my tiny sample have been losses by 2+ goals. Their past eight home league games (granting that their season ended in May) ended with a 6-1-1 record. Sarajevo, moreover, are not good travelers. Before they beat their first-round CL opponent 6-0 on the road, they'd gone 14 games away without winning, though they drew some. Their last road win was last October.
Sorry!..but I think Salzburg is not very strong away only 1 x ,no win away in this Season,Ventspils at Home 6 w 1x 1 l, yes i guess Ventspils win HT 1 ET 1 ----greatings from Austria.
any one got any info on levski sofia?
was thinkng they should have too much ability for the finnish champions, best odds evens now
I'll try to give some info on Levski a bit later when having enough time. I could say now that I won't lump on away win here. Have to make up my mind, but I'll have to look more comprehensive on that game.
Levski played shite previous Thursday for the Bulgarian Super cup, many mistakes in defence... Really, they didn't give 100%, they even didn't give 50% IMO. In the end they won after extra time.
Tampere beat Murata 2:1 in the first leg in San Marino (being 1:0 down at half time and scored a winner at 88th minute) and 2:0 at home. That doesn't impress, really. But I won't make wrong conclusions from these games. Anyway, Levski can win that, but they are still looking for their game style.
Later you can expect starting 11 and more info.
If someone is worried that odds will drop more you can take Levski to win that game, but don't bet your bank on it.
So, probable starting line-up for Levski:
Petkov, Milanov, Benzoukan, Tomasic, Wagner, Telkyiski, Tasevski, Richard Eromoigbe, Yovov, Bardon, Domovchyiski
I'm strugling to write correctly Tampere's players' names, so I'll skip them.
Levski travels to Finland to get a good score. Everybody will be happy if the team win tonight, but the draw won't be such a tragedy.
The pitch will be good, which is in Levski's favour, it's gonna be a bit cold and rainy, but that won't be a problem.
The most important thing is Levski's players to take that game seriously and not to underestimate their opponents. If the match goes Levski's way it could be 0:3 or more the result. But if they repeat the previous defensive mistakes it can go tits up.
Anyway, Levski has better players, better coach, and much, much bigger experience than their Finnish opponent.
What bothers me is that we are in the middle of the football season in Finland and the one in Bulgaria hasn't started yet. That's why I accept the draw as a possible result.
So, I'll be betting: Levski-0.25 at ~1.70 7/10
Levski to win at ~evens 4/10
just to remind you all that scandinavian teams are generally very poor, copenhagen is not exception despite last years win over man utd, beitar is very strong and ambitius team, they have all the abilities to escape with draw or even with win against poor copenhagen NO BET for me
tampere is much worse, they struggle to beat murata! from san marino!
lefski favourites here, but for me NO BET, since bulgarians are non convincing travellers
for me,best bet of the day is Chelsea to beat Brondby ( friendly game in copenhagen) @1.62! Dont miss it please!!

Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
