Re: Champions League - qualification July 17, 2007
Adding:
Soccer - Kaunas - spread pk (+117)
for the regulation time held on Jul 17 at 1:30pm [pending]
Could have had this for +0.5 but terrible odds. Kaunas is experienced in CL competition (two years ago they scored a 4-2 victory away in their first game before getting knocked out by Liverpool in the 2nd round) and in first place in Lithuania, with one loss in eight road games (3-4-1) and two losses total for the year (20 games). Zeta was 16-0-1 at home last season; their last game was May 26. Prior to this season they played in Serbia & Montenegro, where I'm told they were a midtable team. Once the split occurred, they were the best in Montenegro, which is sort of like being the tallest midget in the circus.

Have faith Elfsborg fans !!!
42' Another dubious offside decision allows Berglund free as a river inside the box - and he misses a sitter, scewing it right of Mannus' goal. That was a left off for Linfield.
44' Slip by O'Kane allows Mathias Svensson to gain possession but his 4 yard shot was well blocked by Alan Mannus. Another great chance for the Swedes.
45' + Stoppage time and it's 0-0. Linfield have done well to keep the score at parity.

miserable fecking miserable and the more i read the match report i wanna cry....linfield play at home for a draw, now they'll travel and be stuffed..youd think youd go for the win... arghhh
The Swedish champions could have been at least two up at half-time but for superb saves from Alan Mannus.
Fredrik Berglund was guilty of a bad miss, shooting side from 10 yards.
