Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

I promise that you all right and weŽll see a hot final tonight.

over 2.5 looks good. IŽll take this punt or maybe that Espanyol win the Cup ...
or both .. IŽll think about it ..

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

In the UEFA cup since the turn of the century 5 out of 6 games has ended 'over' in regulation time. Meeting between both teams this and last season has ended over in 3 out of 4 games. In the league the past 5 games has ended 'over' for Espanyol. Sevilla past 5 games in the league reads 4 'overs'. Final words "all roads leads to over 2.5" today at Hampden Park.

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

What's with all the optimism on Espanyol?

Personally, I haven't been following this season's UEFA Cup that keenly till the last 8, but based on what I've seen, I don't think Espanyol has set the world alight - even their win over Werder Bremen was subdued in the sense they caught Bremen at a time where fatigue has obviously set in considering how poor Bremen have been in the Bundesliga of late. While that's not taking anything away from Espanyol's exploits, I don't think they have got the quality and experience to match Sevilla at this level.

Personally, I expect Sevilla to be that bit sharper in view of the fact they're still competing for La Liga and with last year's triumphant experience to back them up, I just can't see Espanyol upstaging their more seasoned compatriots.

That said, I'd just back Sevilla to win the UEFA Cup, rather than back them over 90mins...

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

I think the 10/11 about Seville is a fair enough price and i'll be having some of that. I think I mentioned it the semi final thread but everytime I've watched Seville they've impressed.

I might dabble on the overs but unsure - I take it Kanoute is still ok to play ?

guy at work says he's not playing but cant see anything -

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

I saw Kanoute yesterday when Sevilla team were having walk about in Glasgow...he seemed ok.

I agree with OVERS. Pouring down in Glasgow should make for an open game

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

BigK maybe this could be of some help:
Escude who is suspended will be replaced by Aitor Ocio in central defence and as Adriano has recovered from the thigh injury he would most probably be in. As for Espanyol and a look at the probable line up it looks to be 4-2-3-1 formation, as there is no mention of Pandiani. Believe Pandiani would be in if the formation is changed.
Probable teams as in official webbie:
RCD Espanyol: Gorka Iraizoz; Pablo Zabaleta, Moisés Hurtado, Daniel Jarque, David García; Franciso Rufete, Ito, Iván de la Peña, Albert Riera; Luis García, Raúl Tamudo.
Sevilla FC: Andrés Palop; Daniel Alves, Aitor Ocio, Javi Navarro, David Castedo; Renato, Christian Poulsen, José Luis Martí; Adriano Correia; Luis Fabiano, Frédéric Kanouté.

Don't think we'll be seeing 21 degrees in Glasgow on a night in May!

Thanks buddy I would normally look at the weather info from this livescore site for general outlook (although I dont think that they are accurate). http://www.7m.cn/default_split_en.aspx
It's stated in the site above and by the way if u would like a fast livescore the above and the one below are not bad. The one below is more reliable though.

Oops sorry if I out of the subject.........

Re: UEFA Cup Final:16 May

Cheers all, still think Espanyol can clinch a win here somehow.. opposed to what usually happens in these cases, im actually growing in confidence instead of out of it!? that never happens but not confident enough or should i say scared shitless to place my precious on it is more accurate.

Hm, again almost everyone underestimating Espanyol. I wont take a bet on this game, I'll just enjoy it with beer in my hand. But Sevilla arent machines, you must have learned that. They seemed to be tired in the last couple of matches, and cant be otherwise, as they are fighting on three fronts.
Of course Sevilla has a better team the the catalans, but RCDE showed that they can play very smart and effective football, they dont affraid from names like Seville and Barcelona or teams like that. Personally I'll stay away, but the value is on Espanyol for sure.
Cheers

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
