Re: Germany v Turkey 25th June

No problem mate. I can see the logic at the time was sound and at least he's in the final so a good performnce from him, a Germany win, and maybe a goal and you will be collecting.

I'm hoping that this German side won't win though as it will be a travesty for football. They've had one good game out of five.

Re: Germany v Turkey 25th June

Have to agree totally, Germany in my opinion are only in the final through theluck of having the easy side of the draw. There would be a very good chance had Italy or Holland been on Germanys side of the draw they would be sitting in the final at the minute. They seem so lethargic and slow on the ball, almost tonight that they didnt care. Im still shocked at Ballacks poor display it was as if he didnt want the ball at all. If if i started on Lehman im afraid i would have to start another thread. In saying that though not one German player had a good performance which as you say is a travesty to football that they are in the final! Lowe doesnt seem to be the manager that will give the German players the hairdryer treatment they all need either.

Never in doubt was it

Nah fair play to Turkey, i was kind of wishing they would go through to be honest due to how depleted a side they had out and how good they performed.

Every man was counted for and they really went for it.

Germany don't look too clever at all do they.

Re: Germany v Turkey 25th June

yah, I was on Turkish side after 15 minutes, is that normal?
when Semit scored second goal for Turkey, I was so happy, over in, but couldn't helm myself thinking: "I saw this before!"
them lucky Germans in the final, deserved? nooooooo, but now I wish they win on 29th, so I can brag about it, we won them, so we are champs
after all, I'm happy that I didn't destroy my tv set, cause I was thinking this Croatian television is on strike, feel much better now, it was funny at one point, comentator is screaming gooooal, and 2 seconds it was one!!! what a man of the vision

Im sure Mrs Smith your thinking what could have been. Croatia should have put Turkey out and would have beat germany last night had they played the way they did.

yes, was ready to sing anthem, but realised it is Turkish one ooooh, how many times I thought, hmmm, we were suposed to be right here, right now, even comentators said it many times, was thinking what Bilić is doing then, what is he thinking, oh, what a miss, damn.. well after you miss so many chances, one can not expect enything but to be punished in a most horibble way, and there was no way for young lads to come back in penalties, in a such a short period of time, later they said Turkish goal was in their minds, they couldn't believe it, whole country went down and out, read the papers today, interview with Klasnić, he is still playing that game in his mind as well as every other player, they never been more sad in their life, football life, but hope they learned lesson, in the hard way, and will be back in time to start qualification games for WC 2010

Re: Germany v Turkey 25th June

Yeah they've certainly won more footballing friends for the way they played in this competition. I'm just surprised that people are still surprised as they've been trying to play the game the way it should be played since they were first formed.

Good luck in the WC and from a selfish point of view I hope we see Bilic managing in the English Prem soon

thanks, it is nice to here those words, I guess people are surprised because our league is piss of s..., and we are small country with only 4,5 mil. crazy people so probably they think ooo big Germany will win little Croatia, and underestimation is there all the way, speccially when playing against big football countries, we like that

I hope England will sack Capello and get McUmbrella again
I will personally chain Bilić to my bed if he even thinks about leaving in next two years, which he is not!
