Do the odds confirm the bet, or does the bet confirm the odds? As I said, the only thing obvious is that there's a typo in there somewhere. To assume that the typo was putting "(1)" instead of "(2)" rather than putting (for example) "1.51" instead of "5.51" might be the logical assumption, but it would still involve giving you the benefit of the doubt, and it would be at someone else's expense. Not really harsh on him. It was a mistake it got changes. My bet was a winner, i got the bet slip and posted the same bet on another site. Had this problem a while back on another site but they saw the common sense and changed it as the mistake is clearly the selection (the buttons are next to each other!). Surely if there is any problem with the bet it should be at least changed to a double.

If the odds aren't the deciding factor then people might aswell just make them up. I could understand if it was a game where the odds were simular but come on, with odds that are totally different????

To be quite honest, I haven't got the time to go through every bet and correct everyone's mistakes and if I'm running it this season, I may as well warn everyone now (this includes you Winrew) that any posts not in the correct format will be counted as a no bet. I've had enough fucking about.

Correct format is

Team A v Team B (2) 1.5

acceptable variations are, (home win) or whatever - or highlighting the team that you are selecting. I'll also be doing random checks on odds and anyone found cheating will be disqualified.

Anyone who doesn't like the rules doesn't have to play.

All odds are taken from the Doxxbet book, the list of odds will not be posted on The Daily Punt. It is the players perogative to check the Doxxbet website & select the odds & post them up with the selection in the relevant thread. The odds in the book may obviously change during the week, but you take the selected odds @ the time of the post. The administrators, not to mention the other players are around enough to notice when a price sticks out, & Tip-Ex or the Racing Post will settle any odds queries.

Now to me that price sticks out. Cov to win at home to Chelsea @ 1.51!!! Come on that is an obvious mistake!

No one's really arguing that that's not what you meant Champ1on - it's fairly clear that you did. It's more about having everyone treated fairly and while this one is fairly clear, if we're expecting admin to make judgement calls on 'what people meant' then its a dangerous road for other cases. Far easier to call any mistakes as losses.

Ultimately the mistake was yours, not ODMs, and even if you still think the judgement is wrong, its a free competition where people are giving up their own free time to run it, and in that case their opinion rules.
