Good question Charly.
If the rules say it starts today then I suggest you just start a thread with whatever league you're in and post your selection. Rules are rules after all. I'm away to start a post on the Premier League. All bets must be placed by 3pm today (according to rules) even though games aren't played until tomorrow. Rules are rules.
