I have just booked a week away in September, and also a long weekend away at the start of October so it may be best if I shy away from the admin, and look after a division the following TC, if anyone wants a break?

Admin is no problem, Tricky (and I'll update the hall of fame soon as I get a chance as I like that sort of thing - not the endless trawling, the hall of fame, where one day my username and avatar shall rest).

I'd like to start this weekend personally. If Slick ever shows up (Slick!!!) I'll be able to find out whether or not I can send out an email informing folk.

We currently have 14 for top league, 13 for 2nd (as ODM wants Beanie moved back down again ) and I think 14 at the moment for div 3 (which may well rise). A lot of folk in the past didn't appear till after the first week anyway. Makes sense I guess.

I'll give everyone a shout asap as to the confirmed starting date and I apologise for any uncertainty. It's not my fault really.

As I have no idea whether our bleedin' email members function works yet which I'd like to use as all previous TC comps have started with the English Premier league I believe (a few players may well be expecting the same this time). I only remember having massive problems with it in the past and last thing I want to do is break the forum by testing it out.

Sod that, ignore the grumpy old bugger, if Beanie was the first person to "apply", then put him in division 2. If he wasn't, then put whoever was in there

He was the first, rc and regarding the 'fairness' factor, I remember it being pretty harsh when he was dumped from the top league (I wish I could remember in detail but I thought it was a small error somewhere on his part) so in a way it seemed kind of apt. And a nice, round, 14 in the league looked cool.

I know I'm a grumpy old bugger but I just like things to be fair and I don't see that the fact that you just happen to be the first to see the thread and put your name down is a good reason to be promoted.

I have an alternative for you. How about announcing a one off for this weekend where everyone who has applied for div 3 so far has 20 points to gamble on this weekends football. The one with the biggest return gets moved up. OK, not everyone gets a go but if you have missed the discussions because you havent logged in for three weeks then you don't fuckin deserve to be promoted.

My "place" is among the elite in division 1 Spacecat. So I won't be expecting to be competing against you for a while.
