Tri-Series in Zimbabwe

Hello Mates,

After having wonderful matches recently like T20 World Cup, New Zealand Vs Sri-Lanka and T20 Series between South Africa and West Indies.

Here we have another great series between Three Nations that is India, Sri-Lanka and Zimbabwe.

So this tournament is going to be played in Zimbabwe and this Zimbabwe has appointed a new captain Elton Chigumbura. In recent press release Elton Chigumura said :

"I feel honoured to have been appointed to captain my country," Chigumbura told local media ahead of the start of play.
"I am looking forward to the challenge and I am hoping to make a difference with my captaincy. We are capable of winning games and we have done it in the past."

On one hand Zimbabwe team has new captain and they looking forward to improve their game in this series and they have good opportunity as the series is held in their own country or home ground. Elton Chigumura also added that Zimbabwe will field the strongest side...

On other hand India doesn't have any senior player in whole series but its still the most favorite for all bookies... Instead of MS Dhoni, the captain of team would be Suresh Raina and Suresh Raina is all set to hit the ground with his team which consist majority of new players. captain Suresh Raina believes his young side are ready to bounce back from a disappointing World Twenty20 campaign in the West Indies earlier this month.

Sri-Lanka is one of the strongest team and they have proved their good performance in past. As per me they have good bowling department as well as batting department but still they need to work on their Batting Line... Especially the last performance of the Team in Florida USA was pathetic and didn't able to achieve 121 Runs against New Zealand which was very reasonable target to achieve. The team's opener batsman Jayawardene got bowled on very first bowl of the inning and than none of the other did well. Our expectation towards Sri-Lanka was much high. But they didn't performed as per their level.

Tri-Series is starting on 28th May and the 1st ODI is between Zimbabwe and India.

So don't miss this opportunity and make some money.

Doubt i`ll be betting as I cant watch it and I hate to bet when I cant see the action.

My thoughts on the tourny are quite straightforward really.

It all depends what the conditions are like in Zimbabwe, but id expect it to be dry and quick. Not what Sri Lanka like, and India wont be too keen either. It`ll favour the pace bowlers and both have spin in abundance.

Having said that, Zimbabwe, though improved in recent times, (recently beat Aus in T20) arent up to it in the longer format and the longer classier batting line ups of the 2 major teams, and better stronger bowlers, should ensure an India / Sri Lanka final. That game will depend on small spells of play, like the toss, the powerplays etc and it would be madness to bet on the outcome this early in the day.

Does anyone believe India lost the first match of Tri-series, at least i don't believe it...

Today i would like share my story about this match. Do you think Match-fixing is still done? Because today i feel that this 1st Match between Ind and Zim was fixed already. What reasons forced me to feel that it was fixed :

The odds for india were extremely low from very beginning and it was like 1.11, 1.12 and 1.14. So i didn't placed any bet on India. (bet on Match winning).

Please ready below the co-incident or tragedy or i guess it was fixed from beginning.

My 1st Bet : I normally place bet before few hours from the time match starts. In players market I found few names of players and their respective possibilities of runs. So i opened the bet slip for S. Raina and options where like this Total run of S Raina, under 38 or 38 & more?. So i placed on S. Raina - 38 & More because S Raina is new captain for India in this series and i thought he would play up to the level in this match and even he have good stats in previous matches. So i placed bet on S Raina that he will score 38 or more in this match and Now i am sure you will believe it but he got dismissed at 37 Runs. Yes he got out at 37 Runs. This is the first tragedy.

My 2nd Bet : My 2nd bet was on which team will hit most sixes ? India or Zimbabwe. India have 4 players who did well in past T20 Matches like S Raina, R Sharma, Y. Pathan and V Kohli. So i selected India and placed bet on it. Now you won't believe again, India had five 6's and Zimbabwe had six 6's. So i again lost the bet.

My 3rd Bet : My 3rd bet was live-in-play bet, it means i placed the bet when match was on. I placed bet on 21st Over and I selected the probability that Zim will make more than 3.5 runs in 21st over. Now in 20th over Zim made 6 Runs, in 22nd over zim made 5 runs but but but in 21st over zim made only 2 runs. which is less than 3.5 runs and i lost the bet again.

My 4th Bet : My 4th bet was on Y. Pathan that he will score more than 40 runs however he didn't much balls to play, So i won't consider it as fix.

Now let me again inform you, My 1st and 2nd Bet was placed before 5 to 6 hours from the time of match.

So do you think that 1st match was already fixed???

Allan Donald, sitting in the Ten Sports studio, says the pitch would be good to bat last. But still S Raina choose to bat first and lost match...
