Re: Eng v Windies: 20/20 & ODIs

Have to agree tbh, theres no value in backing England here
One reason is that England are in transition & to an extent experimenting, but the main reason is that WIs are an absolute enigma
They have no plan other than Gayle getting them off to a flyer, or possibly Samuels, otherwise its Chanderpaul mopping up the pieces & trying to gain respectability. But, apart from the recent conditions are against it, how do you reckon on Gayle & co not teeing off ?? Conditions suit England, but at 1/2 ??
No chance :wasntme

Re: Eng v Windies: 20/20 & ODIs

multi-fours have been plummeting all day on the spreads.

England toss, bowl.

In the hope WI won't be skittled. And weather?

BUY multi-fours @ 270 at 0.20pts.

Just hope windies can bat out 50 overs. Chanderpaul at 3.

Re: Eng v Windies: 20/20 & ODIs

278/5 sensible knock from Windies, quietly brilliant from Chanderpaul.

20 fours from Windies. So I need 14 from England and the rest is gravy.

But weather?

Think England will go after this at a measured pace. Get close but lose.

Re: Eng v Windies: 20/20 & ODIs

It's lottery time again. But...

With Pietersen mis-firing, Windies have much the stronger, and probably deeper, batting line-up. Not much between the bowling units, but if England leave out Monty again, Windies probably better. So I'll happily take the 6/4.

Windies win @ 6/4 at 30pts
Windies highest first 15 overs @ 10/11 at 11pts
Mascarenhas perf 34+ @ 4/5 at 15pts

Re: Eng v Windies: 20/20 & ODIs

Good call on WIs Pie, they were definetly the value there

Bit of a hammering in the end & I must admit that I thought there was a fair amount of 'following the ball' by Colly in his field settings. Might be harsh but I'm yet to be impressed tbh

Interesting to note that Cricinfo has it that David Graveney is approaching Tresco about availability for the 20/20 World Cup in septemeber, & the 30 man squad is announced on wednesday. Extremely interesting to note that hes being approached shortly after Michael Vaughan has relinquished the one day captaincy. Does any of this mean anything ?? Or is it just coincidence ??

Well, theres a strong rumour on the circuit that its not just coincidence at all, & the reason that Tresco first returned home from last years tour of India was for the originally aired reason that he had marital problems. That was quickly dispelled & nothing has appeared in the press since. Tresco is I'm led to believe married to his childhood sweetheart, & the rumour is that she was having an affair with the previously mentioned Michael Vaughan :wasntme Now I found this hard to believe at first but it does all fit in tbh Theres also a further rumour that she became pregant but it wasnt Vaughans (or Trescos for that matter ) but was the Somerset wicket-keepers, Carl Gazzard

Hmmmm :wasntme

So Mrs Tresco must have a penchant for goofy-looking blokes with a receeding hairline -- viz Vaughan and this chap.....
