Major PC Problem - Help Required Urgently

I used my other PC early this morning and shut it down etc with no problems etc.

Since then my brother and dad have tried going on it but it won't boot up at all. What happens is that it comes up on screen saying that were was a problem and it gives me 4 options of what to do.

They are enter safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode configure and the last one is start window under the last time it worked fine.

Problem is whenever i try to do one of these options it just re boots all over again and take me back to these options again. Can't find a way of getting out of it, tried every option.

Anyone offer me any help??

Yeah but my dad doesn't want to resort to that just yet as he has heaps of pictures etc on it he hasn't backed up

Kind of looking to that as a last resort.

No I don't mean a re-install disk, I just mean a boot up disk that you create that tells the computer the path to follow when you restart it and put it in the a drive.

Right sounds so none of the options will allow you into windows at all ? It resets on every one ?
If this is the case you gonna have to do all the boring physical checks.
Disconnect from power and take out all PCI cards, blow the slots to clear dust and put them back in. Clean out all dust from processor fan etc.
Unplug and plug back in all leads at the back.
Dust can cause alot of problems, it could be something as simple as that. Could be a lose connection. Try all that and see how you get on.
If you are still getting the same thing come back and we move onto next step.

As for computer - all the physical checks been done to no avail

Well there's a few things you can do. If there's another working PC nearby you could always take the hard drive out and hook it up as a slave to the working PC and get any pictures etc you might need from it just to be on the safe side.

Get the hard drive back on the bust PC.
Get a windows XP cd, whack it in and switch it on. If it doesn't boot from this go into BIOS and set it to boot from DVD drive/cd ROM drive first.
You can then try doing a windows repair and see if that sorts it out.

At the moment it's not entirely clear if it's hardware or software related yet.
