my fiancee has made a blog and has tried several sites to put a poll on her blog but every time she copys and pastes the code onto her blog it just appears with the code no poll. it worked once but when she published it just the code appeared. what is she doing wrong?

sounds like the blog or maybe a certain plugin if she's using one i doesnt have html enabled.

Ah hello George. Im still trying to get out. This will be easy enough. Ive actually made it so as html can be posted in the blogs. I will double check it. What code is M trying to post?

George i just added a poll plugin for the blogs. lets have a look at how easy it is to use-

# Go to the Plugins panel and activate the Democracy Widget
# Go to Presentation, then to Sidebar Widgets, and add the democracy widget to your sidebar by dragging it from Available Widgets to your Sidebar.

4. In your WordPress admin panel, click on Manage, then Democracy Poll. There, you can add polls, edit polls, edit options, etc.

Congratulations! Democracy is ready to go. Below is a list of optional installation procedures.


5. In your Democracy Poll panel, edit the options at the bottom of the page. Here you can choose to turn off IP logging, order answers by their popularity, and other stuff.

6. If you want to add individual polls to your posts or pages, write {democracy:*}in the Write screen wherever you want to display a poll. The * corresponds to a poll ID, so if you want to use poll ID 15, you post would resemble bla bla bla bla {democracy:15} bla bla bla. The poll ID can be found in the Democracy Poll admin panel, by looking at the first column of the table of polls. To use the current poll, just write {democracy}.

7. To create an archives page, create a new Page in (Write > Write Page). Somewhere in the content of this page, add the following where you want the archives to appear: {democracy_archives}

I wont do it for M George as i could see that she had enjoyed getting about her admin panel. i will just offer some guidance (ps tell her to find a nice ferrari wordpress theme in google - the one i have put doesnt show the bit under the menubar at the top)

PLUGINS is under the MANAGE menu tab

Meg i cant gett the widet in for now but i will have a look., Its all set up. One prob is that i cant get it below the text. Maybe start a new post with the poll in it.

go MANAGE>>>DEMOCRACY POLL

Make up a new poll (tell me if it doesnt save for any reason as i had to try it twice)

create a new post and just have

{democracy:3}

(if 3 is your new poll ID (see left of poll page)

and that should be you. Maybe you could have the poll ABOVE the text. Any probs just ask. You could change the FORUM and start your own forum too. get all the folks n from the net and have a laugh

ive got it just doign a earch on shucmacher. you can make it select your youtube playlist id and have what vids you want in there., i will move this to the blogs forum here in a bit

i did google it ross but there wasnt much selection. the poll is below the txt now. how do i get rid of the test for komp stuff? and the txt and click button abouve the utube bit?
