Does anyone have any idea of pictures we can use for the menu top of forum? They will be getting changed or added to. The navbar (black bar) will be improved upon also.

lol we'll need a few mods i think DAN. Truth be told i shouldnt be spending so muuch time over it. Im gonna just fire in some things and then in time work on what the menus actually link to. you like the radio DAN?

but ah hah Dan there's loads of music too. Radio Paradise being my fav (dont forget to add to your favs) Talksport (only place to listen to it in the ukl with no plugin) loads. Having no radio on the new skin has stopped me working long hours on here. I even got out of bed today to get started again. aye its a surfers delight. wait till i go and find some nudie tv channels.

shhhhh DAN, i want a few more skins. Why not i say. Im for a white text on black. Easier on the eye. You can still have a DAN DAN theme

k we will still be looking at improving the tab system. Ive just been told that we can have seperate images for each tab

Its all in the CSS bud Really easy to do

really easy if you know how to with css. I aint offering any radical change just bigger better looking tabs for the diffwerant sections of the forum and to make news and reviews less noticable with nice small quirky images. Once we gewt that and the header and the top menu sorted the place should look great and function well. I will call the job done then i suppose.

The new menu system will have its knockers no doubt but it will improve navigation through TDP and it keeps a lot of doors open for us. I will look at making a simple plain text skin for those that like their forums no thrills and the old theme will always be available (use the open/close menus to close forums of no interest to you)

i suppose all in we need a newspaper feel and to have it through the whole site. I think if we can just make the header the same all the way then that will be suffice. Let me think here. aye just keep the top as it is in effect and we just ..nah this is really hard. Slick you had an example of some great look and design. Some american newspaper site. you still got it? it was hard edged and in similar colours to us

Why can't I see anything in the black bar along the top anymore? Like new posts etc.

nah but thats the beauty slick. We dont make them look like images we just make them look like we have but better. The News could be a wee image and that would work well. As Doc says i think we need to make the tabs look like tabs
