Olympic Games Forum?

We're gonna put Special betting away from the Sports Betting section (same place just with its own red header) Bib Brother forums etc will fit in there when needs be etc. In Sports betting shall we have an Olympic forum?

seems the sensible solution to me spacecat. I would say for now we could keep it as a sub forum of Other Sports till nearer the time and then 'get it out' (ooer) when it all kicks off. Be nice to have some thoughts on thread set up though. we'll see what other think but im all for banging one up the now and starting some threads

yep, i remember the last ones in greece pretty well, me and the guy i was sharing a place with put a few outright bets on the male and female decathlons because they ran for so long and involved so many sports. a few bookies were offering match bets on some other events, both runners 10/11 shots, we used to pick either side at random in whatever events were on that day and go a bit mental trying to finish ahead of the other. for the last week neither of us had a social life, we just stayed in with the curtains shut and the olympics on, taking turns going down to ladbrokes to get the bets on and to buy food. id imagine the craic wouldve been even better if it was through the night

i did shite but mark was making 10-40 a night somehow, im sure he was secretly studying the form and odds changes

nah get it up earlyish and ill try and get mark on for a 1v1 thread running through the whole thing once it kicks off. might even fire an email off to him now

sounds good Spacecat and i will watch you and Mark's Olympic battle with interest. By the looks of it we will have an Olympic forum sooner than later as we need to get ourselves prepared. aye all this brings the joy back out in me for running a forum.

the thing is that hes a "professional" so may not be up for some 4am shot putting action. so we may not have exchanges like this from last time
