bots are back?

Bots back in new posts again, you know how much everyone loves when that happens.

i forgot about the new posts link Dan as the old forum skin never comes to mind with me. I will need to ask slick about how to stop them i think. actually i will have a look. We should be able to utilise the bots quite well this time round and we will have a bit of space for them. Just a simple case of working out where to put all the news forums. still when the tabs come in we'll have it all sorted. Folks might not even see the dif. Oh you wont have tabs on the old skin though Dan. shame really as there will bea POKER tab and it will take you to the poker forum. IIt will be just like any other poker forum but sadly you'll only see what we leave on the main forum and that might not be much.

I used to hate Bots
Still , at least someones posting ....

Their always handy Winrew. Ive just always never been able to keep the buggers under control. With a few more lessons learnt since back then and with one or two other ideas the News forums should fit seamlessly. their handy for the viewer as they get news from all differant sources all without leaving the forum, handy for the forum as folks do reply to them and they can easily get moved for future discussion and also they are handy for us and google. Oh and dont forget that we are nearly ready for entry in Big Boards so that should help. We've a better server now to cope and i have more easier ways to implement things. Spam could be a worry so i wont allow them to be abused and i will look at further prevention. Maybe just at reg stage would be best. Maybe make the reg process a little longer with a few more questions. Aye some questions would do it i think. anyhow they'll be seamless and we'll enjoy them

Just here to say sorry the bots are still going on. I will go and see if the prob with them has been resolved but i fear not. It's high on my list of things to do
