Mods For Forums

Since I annouced I would not be a regular poster on the forum and resigned as a mod,I have always popped my head in from time to time,probably because ive been here such a long time.I want to see forum do well (sounds abit hypocritical after leaving).so if you need a mod for the golf forum,let me know.

I think the most important part of being a mod is encouraging and greeting new posters. When I had the time to be a mod I made this a primary function of mine and (I think) helped secure many new 'potentials' into regular posters.

I also got pissed now and again and told people to 'fuck off'. That wasn't so good.

Not at all FC , you always posted some quality stuff , it would be nice if you could do the same again mate.
We dont expect you to be on 7 days a week mind ( er , how does 6 days strike you )

Presumably if you're a Mod then you can't be gagged?
Still all in all I don't think I could do any worse than some Mods.

Komp you might have thought when i was arguing with you about things in the past it was to be a cnut but it was purely because i felt my idea was the best (and i still think we need stickies ).

To me a mod was all about greeting new posters, encouraging discussion in threads and keeping the place looking busy.

There is only so far a mod can go though before they become just sick of posting. Happens to us all. Some come back and enjoy it all again, others (myself included) don't have the passion for it and just pop their heads in here and again.

I am on here almost everyday and go to new posts, read the threads which look of interest to me and then log off. Sometimes i will post if i have something worthwhile to say, other times i wont.

Modding should definately be an enjoyable role and not a forced one.

Yes , they can , they can also impose a temporary ban.
Lock threads etc..
