so do you want a newspapery headline or some kind of bold image?

i think either works, to explain what i was saying before though, aslong as youre using a colour that isnt common in peoples browsers then (red all over this forum) then the banner has to be set apart,or itll look hideous on screen, so ive picked up a few sporty pictures with loads of green.

alternatively you could have it really smart and newspapery, but yud have to damped down the whole website or people wont even notice it

the last website i made (have to say i never finished it) went for the old bold picture thingy and title. its been dead for ages and i havent ried to revive it, my customers were knobends, especially when they WON money from my tips htt://www.unitedlays.co.uk

Whatever Spacecat. Im all for trying them all. Whatever works best. Im just working on a couple of menu images but i'll be trying a few colours etc. be good to see whats best.

quite soft and easy on the eye. Ob the red banner wouldnt be red but def has posibilites. I'll go try a total newspaper one. Oh and i would like to try and get teh sidebar text smaller but when i do it changes the size of text in peoples posts

i think you should have a wee store of banners and alternate them like google. a set decent one like the one on the page just now but have different ones for euro 2008, olympics, champions league final etc

I made the links black 000000 but i think it maybe too dark spaccat so i will change it back. thinking about it we'll need to have something in place for the morning as folks don't like change. Not around these parts

we could have wee stars or siliar Spacecat and we could make them clickable. Let me go see about making pictures linkable in dreamweaver ..aye image maps. that could work. ill give it a try
