It's been made known to me that you are banned. I have no idea why you are banned as i haven't banned you. Has anyone banned CG or is he just being a meddler?

Re: Computer Guy!

I heard that he was onto someone on msn Winrew saying that he had been barred as he dared speak up to me. I never even knew we had fell out never mind him being barred. Truth be told i bet you he was never barred and he was just trying to stir up bother. tiny things please tiny minds i suppose but i was just interested to see if he had been barred. Oh and to clear my muddy name Winrew I'd like to say that i miss him but i dont. then again i haven't been about.

Re: Computer Guy!

I just checked. He isnt barred (banned) Maybe he was and he's unbanned. I just thought that he had finally decided that TDP wasnt obviously for him and he went back to do some moderating on his own forum. He appeared to hate coming here and i think Dan pointed out to him 'why did he then?'. I spoke to him a few times on the phone and all that and he totally confused me by seeming a nice enough fella. Give him a keyboard though and he turned into a miserable annoying winging bastard that seemed to think TDP owed him something. shame. actually speaking of which winrew im away to see what happened to Alex ross. Im supposed to be in forum hiding whilst i finish up but old habits die hard

Re: Computer Guy!

i just had a read of it Winrew. I think it had more to do with Mickey. I really have never understood why

a) people hang about places that they have nothing good to say about
b) why people are allowed to tolerate such people.

I hate it when people arent allowed to read between the obvious lines. It's a game to some to try and be as slimey as they can. I have to admit my tolerance aint good online nor off and i usually just resort to sticking the head in people when they try and come the cnut with their slimey talk. I dont mind folks having something to say i just hate it when they try and pretend their doing it for other reasons etc.

good to see you Winrew btw. Been a strange old month for me. I nearly gave up ever coming back on the internet. A gypsy woman whos well known for her accurate tarot readings read mine a few weeks ago (the day before i went off the head in the review thread () ) and it was enough for me to think NO MORE INTERNET FOR YOU. She says im gonna die. she said i will live longer if i get off m 'bad path' and onto a good one. I tried it there for a few weeks but it really is no fun. I cant go the route of rightouness. She did say i had a good heart and i wasnt as black hearted as i like to think. she was spot on on so many things. Been seeing my new sister and all her family. It's been great. Getting kicked out my flat in 2 weeks and my brother is taking me in rent free. Im keeping on my one night a week at work and im just gonna have to play the best poker of my life. Im trading my armchair for a weight lifting bench thingy and im gonna start going out and about. staying off the ..nah im gonna get pissed as soon as spar opens in the morning im telling you. anyhow i wont go on but i feel a bit forum refreshed. still got all this work to do but it's nice to be back. I can even face taking to people something ive struggled with of late. If im hellbound and dead in 5 years then i might as well try to enjoy it. shit im going on. Time for a joint i think. the first of the day would you believe

Oh how was errrr Egypt?

Re: Computer Guy!

they sound rough Winrew. Last thing you need. Im actually starting to think it will be the smoking that kills me. Just a shame i cant and wont do anything about it. Maybe someday i will care enough about something to want to stay alive.

surely the duty free is cheap enough for you not to go to some back street trader (ooer) Winrew? Im sure that you can offload them mind. You can even tell folks that their a bit rough and they wont believe you really till they actually try them. Always ok for drunken nights i suppose

Re: Computer Guy!

thjis made me laugh a little. Last sunday i was feelign a little low so i decided to ask a few charities if i could help them. I really don't know what i was thinking

Quote:
Hello Dorothy, I hope you don't mind me contacting you but i'm a little
lost and i want to do something to help.

I co-own a gambling forum www.thedailypunt.com I also suffer from
depression and agraphobia. I am due to get kicked out of my flat on April
30th 2008 and i really don't know what to do. I can't go on living like
this so if i can't do something for myself i would like to do it for
others. What i was thinking of was a 'Betting On The Kids' (i just made up
that title) fund raising event. I could get all the other internet
gambling forums involved and also the online bookmakers. In this day and
age where gambling is pushed down people's throats by the government i
thought it would be good for individuals who bet and also the companies to
give something back and what better charity than yourself.

I was planning to walk round the coastline of Britain (maybe add a spin to
it too) I was gonna contact bookmakers and make them aware that i will be
popping by all their shops on-route and maybe ask for a donation of £1 per
person (2 games of a fruit machine) per shop and maybe the bookies could
offer up something else too. I could contact the casino's too and see if
they can donate something. also i would contact the local press as i go
and hoefully they can raise some interest in the appeal.

It's all a bit rough at the moment and i can understand if the gambling
element isn't really what you would like but we don't have to tell the
kids about it. I just think that the gambling industry can do more to help
as it's well known for people just selfishly spending their money on bets
whilst they could be doing something better with it.

If you are interested or have any advice for me Dorothy then feel free to
get back to me. I will know this Tuesday when i will be heading off (prob
mid-may) All help appreciated. As i say Dorothy i really am at a loss in
my life and i would like to do something that would help someone as i
think it will help me too.

Dear Mr xxxxx

Thank you very much for your email and fundraising idea. However I am sorry to say
that we're unable to support this venture because Barnardo's does not endorse
gambling of this nature. We genuinely wish you all the best of luck and thank you
again for getting in touch.

Regards
i got this one back from macmillan and i might take them up on their offer and advice

HI Ross

Thank you for your email enquiry about organising a Gaming Fundraising
Event for Macmillan Cancer Support. I was anxious to read about some of
the personal issues that you're currently facing. I think my colleague
may have already provided you with information about the Citizen Advice
Bureau who could help you, there is one located in John Dickie Street,
Kilmarnock and the contact tel no is 01563 544744. Scottish Association
for Mental Health is another organsiation who could offer support as you
had mentioned that you were suffering from depression contact tel no is
0141 568 7000. Finally, the Samaritans are also a good source of
information, help and support and their details are 08457 909090.

You had mentioned that your gaming idea had been driven by the fact that
you want companies and the gaming industry to do more to help people. We
have a good relationship with a well known Bookmakers who support our
Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning every year and encourage all of their shops
to host an event.

There are policies and guidelines which Macmillan has to adhere to when
being associated with gaming events and if we were to consider your
Betting on Beating Cancer event, we would require to have a thorough check
of the gaming aspect to ensure that this met all legal requirements. A
gaming event as you've described at the moment, wouldn't comply with our
policy and legal requirements.

Whilst your support is appreciated, we believe that your priorities should
be to deal with some of your personal issues before considering organising
a fundraising event for Macmillan.
fcuk i give up

Gamecare never even got back to me

Re: Computer Guy!

I just read them back Mick and i laughed out loud twice. I never meant for it to be funny. that was me, a man who had woke up really at a loss. that was me being painfully honest. I was just wanting to help them. I browsed the replies on Wednesday and just noticed that they were a negative. worse of it is since then i was thinking i would do the walk and highlight how i was so cast out from society i was doing a sponsored walk for no charity at all as a spin. actually maybe i could do it for me. Be great going round with a bucket. I could do sponsored 'Begging With Menace' tour. The core of it all was that i thought that now the ..shit the forum is far from finished. we'll never finish. maybe i should realise that the now. anyhow i was going to go round Britain sticking up TDP Bill Posters in every town, hanging banners over bridges on motorways in rush hour, sticking stickers everywhere especially aorund bookmaker lamposts, have a sponsored by The Daily Punt board with me as i sat in town centers playing bad Ukulele and most ridiculas of all giving lectures on a megaphone in busy town centres on the dangers of gambling. all that fresh air and excercise would have done me good. Its actually my est option but instead im taking the path of least resistance (for me) by not changing anything (bar needing another flat) It got me through my non TDP days.

Bloody hell, she is good isn't she? There go your hopes of immortality Still, better she said it now, you wouldn't want her after-eventing whenever it eventually happens.

You should take a break more often, Komp. For the first time in a long while, I've found myself actually laughing at some of your posts again, more like the Komp of old.

Re: Computer Guy!

Thanks RC. Your right, the gypsy is right too. The last couple of weeks ive been almost human and thats the differance in me RC. For a year now i have been subhuman. Ive lived in a 'we need to finish the place and nothing else matters' zone. Ive been intolerant of others and also of myself and thats made me worse. I think i see today that TDP will never be finished and it's a perpetual thing. The place looks ok though so i suppose i could leave it. Still the forum descriptions to add to the frontpage, the partner links to be filled in and now the header and bookie review to be done but thats it and it will do it. Anyhow i must stop going on about it.

Truth be told RC i might well not be about all the summer. Plan B which i posted above might have to come into play. I have to give up a few ties. Maybe the fresh air and the excercise of being a tramp will be good for me. One or 2 changes in my 'move in with my brother' plan today and i cant just go on the way i am. I dont mind promoting TDP on the streets of britain but i would still need everyone here to greet the new folks it will bring and to generally try and do the work of me when im not here. shit im still going on aint i? Suppose TDP will always just struggle on . I have ruined things the past year and i am sorry but they were unavoidable as i mentioned to Kiko somewhere in Gen Chat. We get there in our haphazzard fashion and im glad i havent driven you away RC like i have others although i know there will have been plenty of times you thought fcuk me and my grand scheme of things. aye ive been a tit but ive had a lot to contend with. Maybe the gypsy is only half right and maybe i do need to give up TDP but only for as long as it takes for me to get 'reborn' like my computer i need a reinstall of my windows.

anyhow i was here for another reason. I forget that now. Aye thats it if i am gonna promote TDP on the streets of Britain this summer does anyone have any ideas on what i can do? My stepdad has a printing firm so i can get business cards and flyers and posters etc sent to various addresses in the UK. Aye lets embrace this between us folks and i'll give you all what youve wanted. A nice busy forum. 2 weeks from now till the 30th to sort things out online and then after 3 years of online building im gonna start promoting us.
i cant use the quote button as my browser has been screwed with a virus and i have no internet browser addons

anyhow i was going to go round Britain sticking up TDP Bill Posters in every town, hanging banners over bridges on motorways in rush hour, sticking stickers everywhere especially aorund bookmaker lamposts, have a sponsored by The Daily Punt board with me as i sat in town centers playing bad Ukulele and most ridiculas of all giving lectures on a megaphone in busy town centres on the dangers of gambling

im mad enough and out on a limb so lets do it. All thoughts appreciated

never thought i would laugh at a C.G. thread , nice to have you back komp.

i believe that we are inundated with requests to go to website , one that work with me would be something like this:

"don't visit www.thedailypunt.com if .........."

or something similar
