If you want to log in and don't use / see the side menu then it doesn't work (no option for password).

Another example of letting an idiot into the admin for the forum.

Luckily I explore all options as I know my way around - very few others would.

MP - I retried and the box titled username has the word 'username' in it. You have to delete that and place your own login and then put in your password.

I've never logged into a site that had USERNAME in the actual box where you had to put in the username (it is normally by the side (indicating this is where you put in your login).

So it does work (now I retested it) but the login is shit and unique and if it confuses me - it will put others off too.

There shouldnt be a problem Gett1n although there is a thread where i am waiting to finish the navbar of the forum but due to death slick understandably has other things to concern himself with. You were not to know. I am only mentioning this due to your agravated manner on this thread. I will read on though im confident your talking out your arse.

The username is merely in the spot that you have to type it Gett1n. I've just had my first smoke of the day but that makes sense to me. That aside dont we have a login in the navbar? I'll go 'live' the user experience. As i say though we are finishing up as per the finishing up thread so there is excuses.

Your right Gett1n it is slightly confusing and i appreciate the feedback no matter how aggressive the tone. I think the problem is that the log in boxes are the same colour. The input fields need to be glowing pink i think. I'll add it to the 'finishing up' thread list. actually i might be able to fix it. Let me go try

I wont go into it Gett1n as you know i'll go on and im sick of just going on. As you can see my attempts of fixing hte prob hasnt worked. need to have a supa dupa sidepanel and i was thinking of having an amazing amount of links in the navbar. Really really busy looking and solid to the core in links. Nicely presented and easily to navigate. Then i would be finished with the forums. Oh i forgot why i left the scots 1-2-3 thread. It was because when your in quick reply mode all the sidebar links are way up the page. Ideally you should be able to click a wee button and out pops a wee mini link panel relative to the forum with links to Oddschecker and the like. i suppose just links about the box would be ok. Nah a drop down menu would be the way but unless it was a plguin we couldnt make it forum specific. Soz im just going on here.

Login is absolutely fine unless your an imbecile and think your username is User Name.

Carry on Komp, I am sure you have loads of other stuff to worry other than sorting an issue that confuses 1 in approx 1000 people.

I have to agree with Crowie to be honest. I didn't find the login confusing at all. And I'd never used it before.

Having said that, I've just looked again to see it from Gett1n's point of view and I guess it is possible to see the 'username' bit as simply a label for the password input bit.

nah i see what Gett1n is saying Mick and it is a flaw in our design. No need not to make the input fields a dif colour. An eye for detail is essential
