Forum Stats

Added the forum stats as you will have no doubt gathered. You can open or close the forum stats if you wish. To me they are all about giving people information and new things to click to get them involved i places that they might not have been previously. If the concensus between the mods is that they are no good then please speak to Slick or ODM about it. If members think that they are no good (the stats not themselves) then please make it known to the mods here or else just collapse the stats. The news coloum on the left could well yet become a 'latest free bets' box but again that would need to be discussed. Im just getting things finished and also having a forum break as when im about the forum i do everything and dont leave enough room for thought for the rest of you. I will try and not appear drunk on the forums within my break.

Even better if you dont like the stats then click the button top left of them and 'disable the stats'. You will never see them again

Looks okay to me , its not like its taking loads of space..

Im liking them more and more Winrew. These are all things ive been wanting to put in place but due to the scheme of things havent been able to. I aint offering endless change just using my experience in reading up and occupying myself with these sort of things for 3 years solid and trying to get the forum in best operational order before we start to worry about the forums. Thats why i get annoyed with folks as they are talking about things that aint been done yet. I dont mean you Winrew btw but i suppose i could have in my time

nah the 'it's the forums that count not the way things work' crowd that bug me. It's not their fault though as they have no idea what they are talking about. We'll be finished soon and then i can glory in their insignificance.

There is other options for the stat box and i will post them for us to discuss but i think ive taken just what we need. Im sure you'll all trust i have but i'll go get a screenie.

Most viewed threads are giving us the 'post here if your playing poker (maybe a quick button needed for that thread) and 3 cricket threads from last year. New Forum member initially sounds shit to me but as i type this im wondering if maybe there is another way at looking at it. why would i want to click a new members name? I wouldnt. Unless.....they had something to see and a new memeber wouldnt have something to see. If that was made 'random member' and any random member was given the fields to make me want to look in their profile then that would work. I suppose i am suggesting improving a members profile field. Ideally it would have a betting record and loads of other great stats. I think im just trying to bring element of social networking to betting forums and if i keep it betting oriented i might just get away with it.

I havent even thought about myself so i couldnt really comment traeth but thaks for asking. Ive been an internet self indulging poker playing machine. I never play and im constantly learning. Its the only form of sanity i know. Make your life on the pillar as productive as you can as life on the post will be hard work.

Thats true Traeth i havent thought about myself. My life is pretty much in tatters i suppose and i dont even consider doing anything else bar sit here with my headphones smoking too much. It's got so bad that even i'm sick of myself and i have to stop being part of the problem.

That Hottest threads one doesnt do its job. Maybe it can be tinkered with. If it showed us the hottest threads (most replied on) for the past 3 days say then maybe. I still like the idea of having the last 5 threads from the free bets forum. Maybe we could move the free bets forum down away from the 'most visited' area. Maybe i can shut up

i excluded Gen Chat and media forum. again this is just preferance and your welcome to change it. (*i mean in discussion here not by admin option) I think i will leave it as that and have myself a big smoke.

ok ill go uncensor it. i suppose it has to reflect the policy of the foru,m. If Nicks video thread is the most popular then so be it

EDIT: if Nick or myself take over the stats by posting to ourselves all day then maybe we could be removed from them also. Nah its done on usergroups. sortable i suppose.

Hottest threads now 2 days and possibly better for it. the wee arrow to the left of the post date in new threads will take you to the end of the thread. Forum title takes you to the start

maybe see some hottest threads from the Brit forum up there happening anytime of the week
