Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

I havent been reading as much as i would like about all this at the mo with websites beatng this and poker hands down with commitment. Lets take it from the top tho...

Dundee v St Johnstone looks a stinker of a game and one that they could both do with avoiding in their bids to catch Hamilton. 1,2 or x. Not my problem as i aint betting on it.

Morton and Stirling have had some tough games the last few seasons. Im always siding with Morton as i dont think they are as bad as thir league position suggests. Stirling can, sory used to be able to to get a draw anywhere. I wouldnt be taking Morton at odds on but...nah just no bet here

clyde v Partick looks quite interesting. Partick are miss-firing a bit and Clyde can be handy enough if only for 45 minutes a game. HArd one to predict and i just aint gonna bother.

Bloody hell im racing through these. Im just up and i need to get on.

I would rate Livi and Dunfermline about the same and there could be cases in taking both this week. Actually it's got 1-1 or 0-0 draw written all over it. No bet

Hamilton at home to QOS interests me a bit more. QOS's good run started when they scored a couple of quick goals to 'rob' Hamilton. Back on the plastic at Hamilton i would be interested in the home. I would have mader them slightly odds on so that 13/10 in general seems worth a look.

Brechin /Allo games have been close this season and produced a few goals f i aint mistaken. I think Brechin have Alloa's measure a bit but the price seems about right. Not something to get over excited about but still worth a look into.

Airdrie and Queens pk (again) have had some close games this season. Not read Airdrie at Ayr's report midweek but how can the bookies justify making airdrie odds on at home v Brechin the other week and then 11/10 with Skybet to beat QP? Odds on elsewhere and i could snap that price up. That said are airdrie just resigned to a play-off place?

Ayr...(bollocks this is turninginto a catchphrase) v Berwick games have been close this season. Stevenson back for Ayr? Aye even money. i like that. Ayr are very unpredictable bti would be interested in what Wet Sail and others think of this one.

Ross county thumped Peterhead last time although the game was much closer than the scoreline suggests. 11/10 with Expekt for them to do it again. I dont really rate Peterhead although with Mann's goals from set pieces and the like and Bavidge you have to respect them. Gonna be tight but im gonna look at Ross this week.

Raith have been awfull of late and why oh why did i even have an interest bet on them last week? Cowdenbetah can be anything on their day and if theyve a few back they should give missfiring raith a game in a game that could spell the end for the raith manager. No bet for me likely and i would never recommend backing Raith at home.

East Fife even money v the inform Stranraer Havent Stranraer been made to look very inneffective by East Fife so far this season? bloody hell this could be a good week.

Stenhousemuir at 15/13 with expekt. Price dropping fast and no wonder. East Stirling are on a downward spiral and Stenhousemuir are improving. another one for me. Shit im really looking to getting into this tomorrow now.

Forfar are improving whilst Elgin are ok at home and still smarting about that Stranraer defeat. Need to look into it more but no bet for me so far. That 3/1 on Forfar could be ok. They're unbeaten in 4 bnow arent they?

Dumbarton should enjoy their trip to Cliftonhill and the Chapman factor could spice it up. Madness but anyone for a Dumbarton win? Nah we shouldnt kid ourselves that they are any good

I could take Montrose in the derby game with Arbroath. Why would i take an inconsistant team like Montrose? as Arbroath have onl won about 3 games at hoem all season and i think they were all v Elgin. This is a game that could suit Montrose and didnt they give arbroathj a bit of a pumping last time?

k so short list would be-

Hamilton 13/10
Airdrie 11/10
Ayr Evens
Ross 11/10
East Fife Evens
Stenhousemuir 15/14

a tasty looking list for me

Cheers Komp

I agree in most, but as far I know QoSouth is home to Hamilton and I am keen to back home team. Aint Hamilton bit overrated and QoS solid home side. Great odds as well.

Two others that I ll be looking on are Ayr (I know what you all think but already made up my mind) and stenny.

Looking forward for your thoughts.

Aye your right Johnny. that explains the decent price on Hamilton then (oddschecker's fault) Aye QOS are pretty solid at Palmerston Johnny and always have been. Maybe its 2pts dropped for the league leaders or even a worse fate. No bet for me then.

Aye should be a good week johnny i think

Spacecat that was me just quickly banging it out* whilst i was busting for a shite. It was 'cooking' all the way through it and i was bubbling on the chair needing to go. Really looking forward to this thread this week spacecat so fire away. We aint held by conventional wisedom on here. Im just away to get some smoke and see my mum as i wrongly thought it was mothers day and bought her something. With a shortlist like mine this will be getting my full attention. I'l catch up with all this in a bit

* I recommend this technique to all. Just have a look at CC league 2 odds say and as you look at them just jot down a few thoughts. Not only will it help TDP as a forum getting to where its going but it will help you as folks can answer anything you have doubts about. go on give it a try.

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

shite. mothers day ill need to keep an eye on that.

right well a quick one for a quick post. bit of tom waits with a strange video of teeth

nice that. short and sweet. dont think its the full version but does me.

ill be looking at ayr just now, think the bottom of division 2 could be the most interesting scots 123 run in from a punting perspective, as komp says stevenson is back in and the team showed some real spirit v airdrie for once. think somerset could be a happier place 5pm this saturday night, im up for backing them already, just need to have a laugh at some berwick match reports first

Liking the look of Ayr myself, berwick are simply woeful. Also East Fife, i take it there will be no chance of them slowing down?

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

east fife wont be slowing down untill the title is in the bag.....after that i will be calling it a day betting on them.....i never do teams with nothing to play for....its a mugs game.....but thats a tough game this saturday.....stranraer beat elgin 5-0 last night....they are playing very well....its a close game to call....but if east fife play their best they can win the game....but they will have to be at their best.....a very tricky game indeed.....east fife would be happy with a draw.....thats the only problem.....

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

onto div 2......ayr played well last night against airdrie......should have won the game....plus played the 2nd half with 10 men......but ayr can play well 1 game then play crap in the next game.....their form changes like the wind....you just never know what to expect.....but they should have a decent chance of beating a poor team like berwick.....no matter what....

brechin hold a decent chance of beating alloa at home.....brechin playing very well....they should win the game......by the talk alloa have their best player out injured....dougie wilson.....the fans say that it is a massive blow......

Re: Scottish 1-2-3 : 1st March

peterhead v ross county.....i fancied ross county untill i heard their keeper will be out for the rest of the season.....he went off injured the other night against brechin.....and the guy that replaced him doesnt sound too good......he wouldnt fill me with confidence backing them......peterhead not a bad team at home.....not easy....a tricky game.....
