Re: Scottish CIS Cup: 28/29th Aug

Not really a cup i enjoy especially with SPL at lower league teams. Hearts should enjoy their trip to Stirling but Kilmarnock wont like the trip up to Peterhead. actually there is nothing i fancy at all. No upsets nor any odds on. I think i'll be leaving it unless someone else has something of interest

No way could I back us at 1/3 against anyone right now.Not saying we won't win but there will be far better 3's on shots come up this season.

Guy at work who is a season ticket holder is shouting for Yogi's head - says Yogi must love how the press seems to be putting him up saying how he's trying to play attractive football but that doesn't always win games.

tricky fixtures - is any off them on the box ?

Re: Scottish CIS Cup: 28/29th Aug

Coral seem to agree with you trainbairn and go 1/2 on your boys. Still no? I suppose montrose are ok in cups midweek...nah thats not true. I still aint interested. Let me see what the ht/ft is on Falkirk...6/5 with corals. Bah i need to read more. I suppose Baird is liable to get 2 for Montrose.

Hamilton will be up for their game at Berwick. I think Reid is prone to understrengthing his team for games like these. If Offilong is playing though i could well take them. Nah too stuffy. No bet there either.

Are Gretna playing this at Raydale Pk or at Motherwell?

I still can't see a bet in any of this truth be told. anyone?

Parahandy is on a distinguished road
Re: Scottish CIS Cup: 28/29th Aug

There's a massive gulf between the SPL and Divisions 2 and 3. Assuming teams like Falkirk and Killie will treat this comp seriously and field strong sides they should come through comfortably against Montrose and Peterhead.

There are a few others in a similar position and for those who like a roll up on nights like these, certainly not me a singles only man, a four or five timer looks very much on. I wouldn't go near Hearts though at any price, well almost. They are a club in serious decline and there doesn't seem to be any fight or spirit left at Tynecastle now.

I have to admit that i have doubts over my local team Kilmarnock Parahandy. I know theyve done better in cups the last few seasons ...actually im gonna go get someone to reply to this rather than me Para. Back in a bit with hopefully Tom Sawyer FINALLY posting some thoughts as he knows his stuff. brb

Re: Scottish CIS Cup: 28/29th Aug

i dont see any big upsets, stirling could take hearts to extra time, hearts problems are well documented.i was at rugby park on sat,and thought killie played well.althougth we struggle against smaller teams if the attitude is right i dont see any problems.the one team i do fancy is thistle against st,johnstone,i think thistle will be hard to beat at firhill this season.

good to see you TS. Fcuk thats the first tip ive taken off you in 4 years. I agree though that Stirling and partick could be hard to beat and a draw between them could pay a return

Tom the Scottish threads are the place to be on the net. you look at your coupon and then you talk with other folks looking at their coupon and you take it all in and digest it and folks will tell you a bit more to what you already know. you can take it positivly or you can take it negatively but the Daily Punt Scottish thread as mentioned in The Daily Record is unavoidable each week. i did just make that up about the paper but you have to try dont you?

CIS Cup
Soccer - Gretna/Cowdenbeath - total Over 3 (-114)
for the regulation time held on Aug 28 at 1:45pm [pending]

I'm really making this pick because Gretna has got to be frustrated getting hammered every week in the SPL, and these two were last year my favorite overs teams...so how can I not take the overs when they face each other?

Re: Scottish CIS Cup: 28/29th Aug

done my bets.i went for dundee inverness st mirren and falkirk in a 4team roll up.dundee would be my bet of the night.should beat livingston at home.......on leauge form dundee look a banker........my 3 other picks are all premier leauge teams playing 3rd div teams.........there is a big gulf in class there........but in cup matches there is allways shocks........im just hoping i dont get 1 tonite.........i think that 4 team bet is worth a punt.....also done a small h-t f-t 4 team bet as well...4 trebles and 1 all......plus a small minus a goal 4 team bet.4 trebles and 1 all......but as long as the 4 teams win ill be happy.
