On a weekend where the bottom four sides in the Scot Ads Highland League face off it is interesting to find that you can get approximately 23/1 on Brora Rangers and Fort William to beat Lossiemouth and Rothes respectively which is a fine return considering the Cattachs and the Fort are both at home.

Those fans who like to back the home team and fancy a punt on the North clubs will be eyeing up the Clach and Nairn odds with interest meanwhile punters with a spirit of adventure might look as far north as Caithness where Wick are at 9/1 to halt the Vale juggernaut.

On the handicap betting Clach and Nairn once again look interesting while Fort's 2.5 goal start will no doubt attract a penny or two from those in the Lochaber area.

When you are looking for a Game of the Day then look no further than the Forres Mechanics fixture list for the remainder of the season as the Can Cans embark on an incredible run in that sees them play the teams set to finish in the top half of the table week in week out.

This week Keith are the visitors to Mosset Park and will be without Darren Stephen and Ally Ferrie both of whom missed last week's comeback victory over Cove Rangers at Kynoch Park.

The Can Cans will want to recover quickly having dropped two points further behind league leaders Deveronvale last week and one man on the recovery trial is Neil Whyte. He is unlikely to be fit enough to start this week but is making progress. Steve Mackay is suspended and Andy Matheson is still struggling with injury.

Huntly were the team that drew with Forres last week and they too will be hoping to bounce back into the title race with a win in what also looks like a tricky encounter. Michael Rae may debut for the Black and Golds at Clach Park with Ryzard Gorski overseas although the former Buckie and Nairn keeper is carrying a knock. Neil Reid returns for Huntly and Clach welcome back top scorer Alex Bone, both having served a suspension. On the other side of that coin Gary Ross will sit out.

Cove Rangers v Buckie Thistle will play host to TV cameras tomorrow with a pilot www.highlandleague.net TV show being recorded around this match. Hopefully there will be plenty for the fans to get excited about despite the fact that the Toonsers will be without John Brown and the Jags will miss Neil Davidson, David Angus and Greig Pirie. However Donnie Munro is set to return.

Incredibly Nairn County could feasibly complete their season before the end of March and they will face Fraserburgh at Station Park in their 25th of 28 league matches. Les Fridge is playing his cards close to his chest with three unnamed players said to have picked up knocks in last week's loss. With Andrew Allan and Duncan Jones his options will be limited.

Russell McBride came off the bench to score for the Broch last week and may start but Trevor Fleming, Derek Milne and Mike Stephen are all doubtful. Scott Mackie is available having completed a full week's training.

League leaders Deveronvale will make the long trip to Wick with a full strength squad as they hope to take another step towards the title with both Robbie Brown and Ross Bremner available once more.
The Scorries chances will not be helped by the loss of Martin Gunn who limped off after only 24 minutes last week and he will join Don MacMillan on the sidelines tomorrow.

Four of the bottom five teams face off looking for a win ahead of next week's Fosters Cup ties. Lossiemouth will take the rare role of favourites when they travel to Brora with a full squad, although Joe Lasley is set to be posted to Basra with the RAF. The homesters will be without Aaron Smith and Martin McGregor and have doubts over Iain Innes, Adam Sutherland, Sam Mackay and Aaron Christie.

Fort William will have Jonathon Hewitt, Michael Taylor, Mark Sanderson and Scott Graham back in their squad for the game against Rothes although Stuart Tite and Norman Maclean miss out leaving young Sean Ellis still in the running. Rothes, hoping not to become the first side to lose to the Fort will check on Nathan Sharp's fitness although he remains a doubt as do Kevin Collins and Jamie Miller.

Deveronvale price looks big on BAW and as they head up north at full strength I'll give that some more attention, and Lossie looks ok given Brora's selection troubles. Not on the best of form though.

The return of Alex Bone is enough to put me off Huntly, and Fraserburgh have a few problems.

Tempted slightly by Rothes too...you can't argue with Fort Williams record of P21 W0 D1 L20.

But having said that, Rothes aren't a side to put much faith in, like Lossie.

Maybe just Deveronvale then...
