Rhyl 1-1 Haverfordwest
FOR the third successive season, Haverfordwest returned from Belle Vue with a point and they are now unbeaten against Rhyl in their last six encounters.
"There's not many sides who can boast that sort of record against Rhyl, so I'm very proud of my players," said Bluebirds player-manager Deryn Brace.
Tim Hicks, back at Haverfordwest following a short spell at Aberystwyth, should have put his side ahead in the opening minutes, but fired straight at Paul Whitfield.
But the striker made amends on 26 minutes, slamming home a rebound off Whitfield, from Wayne Jones' penalty, but a brilliant Lee Hunt goal, after Andy Moran set the platform, earned Rhyl a share of the points.
"We were well worth the point as we totally dominated the opening half and had three gilt-edged chances, but could only put one away," Brace added.

Cwmbran 1, TNS 4
Quote:
A FIRST half hat-trick from Nicky Ward kept TNS firmly on track for the title with a comfortable verdict over struggling Cwmbran.
The leaders were always in charge after opening up a four- goal interval lead, although they got bogged down in the second period.
Ward opened his account on 21 minutes when nipping in to steer the ball past keeper Richard Lancaster from Steve Evans' downward header.
Seven minutes later, he doubled his tally from the penalty spot while Scott Ruscoe added a third when his low 30-yard shot squirmed into the net.
Ward completed his hat-trick with a 41st minute headerafter Jamie Wood had crossed from the right but the Saints failed to maintain their impetus after the break.
Cwmbran gained some consolation when Saints defender Evans steered a back header into his own net

This is a not too optimistic preview of their up and coming match from Cwmbran's website

Tuesday evening sees Cwmbran travelling to Haverfordwest for a re-arranged WPL match. With the Crows currently occupying 17th place in the league, a point or more from this fixture would be greatly received.

I saw brief highlights of both matches on t.v. .
Haverfordwest looked the better side against Rhyl and were close a few occasions. The Rhyl goal was scrappy and was the only Rhyl chance shown on t.v.
TNS totally dominated this match with very little shown of Cwmbran. What they did show was the poor defence of Cwmbran.TNS scored all the goals .The Cwmbran goal was header back to the goalkeeper when the defender was not under any pressure in the final minute of the game. This game was played on Friday evening so Cwmbran have had an extra day of recovery. This is a re-arranged fixture because of an accident when they were suppose to meet in early January.

Two vehicles carrying some Cwmbran players and supporters were involved in a shunt on the M4 on the way to the game.
Although nobody was injured, the vehicles were deemed unroadworthy and the players involved were unable to proceed to the game.
