Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

At first glance I like the look of Stenhousemuir at Coatbridge and have a feeling Elgin's good run could continue. I never read the reports of their win at Stenny but the result was a real eye opener and unless it was a smash and grab job, they could do it again this weekend against Cowdenbeath at a nice price. Never ignore a team in form

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

Just researching the head to heads at the ground with the games i am thinking of getting involved last 10 games if there is:

Elgin 1 Drawn 1 Cowdenbeath 5
East Fife 8 Drawn 1 Montrose 1 (East Fife has won the last 6 at home)
Ayr 1 Drawn 1 Peterhead 0 (the ayr win was in the cup a few years ago)
Alloa 2 Drawn 2 Raith 6 (Raith won this season at Alloa, results go back to 1982)
Queens Park 2 Drawn 3 Berwick 5

If those 2 defenders are missing I may well take Berwick!

Fancy
Arbroath
Stenny

Webster could be back for Montrose. he played against Dundee midweek in a bounce game. East Fife lost their last 6 or 7

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

Howday do day Scot's 1-2-3 fans. Whats on the cards this week?

I aint touching the East Fife Montrose game Mr C. Ive a wee inkling for a rare East Fife win (could be due one, sound betting policy kids) I cant touch it but good luck if you do Mr C. Stenny i liked but now im a bit scared and dont think theyre great value. Cramb will be back but i still dont like the vibes about it. Albion might nick a draw. Im looking elsewhere.

Ross i reckon should win but im scared of Moore getting a couple. One of them games i reckon Stranraer could go 2 up for half time just for Ross to score 3 second half. Madness so i again am looking elsewhere.

Morton i think will win but are too short for me. Nah i might chance them with another couple of ....(my phone wont stop bloody ringing. I can never get off it, normal living is taxing) Sorry errr where was i?

Berwick without Haynes as mentioned by Danq isnt exactlly a positive. He doesnt seem to have found the form of early season mind. Berwick not being able to score more than less than one a game is enough to put anyone off. I think i'll chance them to bounce back to scoring form. Could be madness couldnt it?

Ayr i think will get a point at least at home on Sat (tomorrow) but again that could be based on feeling rather than hard facts. I dont really ever fancy Peterhead away really. Think their performances away might be worth a look.

Scottish Division 2 Alloa 4-1 Peterhead 06-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Ayr 1-1 Peterhead 20-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Forfar 3-2 Peterhead 27-08-2005
Scottish Division 2 Stirling 1-3 Peterhead 17-09-2005
Scottish Division 2 Morton 2-1 Peterhead 01-10-2005
Scottish Division 2 Partick 1-3 Peterhead 25-10-2005
Scottish Division 2 Dumbarton 1-0 Peterhead 29-10-2005
Scottish Division 2 Raith 0-2 Peterhead 26-11-2005
Scottish Division 2 Gretna 3-0 Peterhead 03-12-2005
Scottish Division 2 Alloa 0-2 Peterhead 24-12-2005
Scottish Division 2 Forfar 0-1 Peterhead 02-01-2006
Scottish Division 2 Stirling 2-1 Peterhead 21-01-2006
Scottish Division 2 Morton 0-0 Peterhead 04-02-2006

not as bad as i thought. I dont think their performances have been that .....inspiring. Thats my word of the week. im wanting to be inspired. Anyone wanna inspire me? I might have to delve down to the English leagues whatty what.

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

Montrose have added some french striker to their team. I dont know much about him. i'll have a read up later. Their missing Kerrigan after he picked up a knock last week. I might be interested in East Fife even though theyve lost 12 from their last 15 games.

I will continue to oppose Elgin. A strategy thats not done very well so far but i think they'll have theyre hardest game of the season on sat. If Cowdenbeath take their chances then Cowdenbeath supporters will be happy. they looked primed after last weeks 6-0 win v QP. Yip they took their chances. Elgin are the form team. Beath would be odds on in my book personally if things ran to plan.

I couldnt tke Arbroath away especially after them letting me down at East stirling earlier this season. the pitch is awfull and it could be a lottery. I aint getting involved. Alloa i still fancy to get something and Ayr with Veraille back is enough to put me off Peterhead. 2 draws maybe?

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

Bit behind schedule this week, but just had my first look at fixtures, odds, news and everything else.

I normally take 1, maybe 2 bets in the Scottish lower leagues per week. Only 9 games this week, and I have 7 fancies. Maybe I'm going mad

Stenny, East Fife, East Stirling (possibly lay Arbroath), Cowdenbeath, Raith, Ayr and Morton all tempt me. Need to have a dig around to narrow it down a bit

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

I always like to have a quick look at the P&B predictions.

The Third Division ones put me off the ones I'm considering a bit:

Not sure what to make of these:

I think I'm going to leave St Mirren in any case. When faced with higher division opposition, Gretna have done well this season: Dumfermline (battered them but lost 1-0), St Johnstone and Clyde

5 away wins in the 3rd division!

stenny to beat a shite albion team, montrose to scrape past a diabolical east fife, arbroath to cruise () past east stirlingshite, cowden to sneak a 1-0 against elgin, and berwick to pump QP

Can't believe you are picking Montrose your rivals!!!! lol

I fancy East Fife and backed them Montrose have been very poor according to reports although East Fife aint much better. I think your team might not win today - East Strilingshire have picked up abit of late, your lot are not great away from home - noticed you could have had 2.2 got matched on betfair for Arbroath.

Re: SPL, Scottish 1st/2nd/3rd division 25/2/06

3 out of 5 for me today - cowdenbeath, East fife and Berwick Rangers come in and Alloa and Ayr let me down!!! lol.

But its been some turn around in my fortunes in bettingadvice - i was -40pts about 3 months ago and now i'm +31pts up so thats a 70pts swing - very nice stuff.

Was at the Elgin game against Cowdenbeath and the standard of 3rd division is rather poor not much between the sides but the first 35 minutes not much in the game although Cowdenbeath hit the bar straight from a corner. Then a easy goal for Cowdenbeath straight through ball in the middle which a pass to Mikko Paatelainen. 1-0 half time and then in the second half a goalmouth scrabble was put in for 2-0 by Inness. 3rd goal was a great goal with a fantastic through ball from Marco for his brother Mikko to score a second. Finally 4th goal McKenna scored from a cross.

It was a strange game as i felt Elgin had a lot of the ball but did nothing with it quite power puff upfront - had half a chance but the striker held the ball too long and a defender got back to make the challange but Cowdenbeath had 3 or 4 other chances in quite a easy win. 4-0 maybe flattered them but they do look good going forward.

Anyway the Scottish won at egg chasing - wooooo-hoooo!!!
