NEW Cardiff Grange Quins manager Steve May believes the club will escape relegation from the Welsh Premier.
May has stepped up from third team boss following the resignations of Paul Giles and Mal Camilleri after financial problems saw 11 players exit the Leckwith Stadium.
But in his first game at the helm, May saw the Quins battle to a creditable 1-0 defeat at full-timers Llanelli.
"I'm a Quins man through and through and my aim is to do everything I can to help us avoid relegation," says May, who has never managed or played at this level.
"Even though I'm not experienced at this level, I believe I have the credentials for the job."
May will be assisted by former Cardiff City midfielder Andy Gorman and says: "Andy is well-known in Welsh football, is a very good coach and has good tactical knowledge.
"We've a fantastic squad in many ways, we lack experience but we've got a lot of talented footballers.
"We want to build a strong team unit which is going to enjoy its football, enjoy travelling together and I reckon we're going to pick up a few surprise results," he added.

It was the 1-0 defeat by Llanelli that had me chewing my nails due to my max stake bet on Llanelli and was expecting an easy defeat which never came.

Prior to their troubles Grange were an excellent team at home , but poor away.Last week's game was their first for a long time that did not involve a high scoring match. This will be their new manager's first match .It was reported that Grange defence had improved but Llanelli finishing was poor .
Cwmbran's recent run has been against teams that are in the bottom half of the table.Their performance against my side Porthmadog was very poor defensive , they were the team that gave Connah's Quay a chance to come out of the poor run of no wins. This was C.Q. first win of the season .The Aber match was the return of their ex manager Coyne back to Cwmbran.
Cwmbran have just made a new signing see below from WPL site

Before I bet on this match I would like more information , Grange are the whipping boys of this league , but Cwmbran are a poor side .Which is the poorer is the question . A side that only loses 1-0 to Llanelli at home must have organized their defence.
8.0 FROM
bet365 is large price considering how poor Cwmbran are attackingly . up to last game Grage were poor in defence .I am having a small stake on the Grange based mainly on that game against Llanelli .Llanelli have since beaten Port Talbot [2nd] twice since.
