Re: English Prem 2/3/4th Jan
Man City v Spurs
Spurs +0.25 @ 1.84 VC
Spurs will want to keep the pressure on Manyoo and Liverpool with a win here, while Man City need to stay in the hunt for a Top 5 or 6 finish.
Neither side has a very good record vs Top Half teams:
Spurs: P8: 1-5-2
Man City: P8: 1-2-5
Where Spurs are concerned they have the big advantage of being able to score on a regular basis: ranker 3rd in the EPL.
Also they have the 5th best defence , which works well in their favour when you see them losing at HT , with only Chelsea having a better response in terms of results at the end of the next 45.
Spurs don't really leak goals in any set period...they leak them all over the 90mins, but usually just the one.
Man City are weak in the opening and closing 10mins of the 1st half, and the middle of the 2nd . They hit sides at the start and the finish of matches , showing their lapses of concentration inbetween.
I say that Spurs will score. Therefore Man City will need 2 to beat this handicap mark.
Now, Spurs lost 2-0 to WBA last week, but I will put that down to an aberration of sorts. It was only thier second loss on the road and WBA had taken a point at White Hart Lane on the opening day...so maybe a bit of a bogey...who knows?
Spurs are very strong in the 2nd 45 of all matches, with only Chelsea and Manyoo above them in points gained. They are , conversely, one of the worst in the 1st 45 : ranked only 15th.
If they can keep it clean or level till the break I'd say that this bet is a winner...no worries....if the are leading at the break...ROCK ON TOMMY!!
Man City have only managed to 'win to nil' once this season:Everton 2-0...which lends support ot my belief that Spurs WILL score and Man City are then looking for 2...tough call.
