Re: English Prem 2/3/4th Jan

Well we wont miss Sibierski too much really as he has failed to make an impressive in his majority of games. Indeed it maybe that Cole and Vassel , who do work well together sometimes , will be reunited. Vassel's confidence is so brittle and pearce may even plump for Wright Phillips. The good news is that Ireland and Barton are really playing well and should be a good match for Spurs or anyone . Sinclair is finding form again and it only needs one of our front men to find some form and we could grab a couple.
We could also play as badly as we did against Chelsea and Boro and get gubbed od course.
I expect City to come out all guns blazing at Spurs , if Spurs can resist then they could easily sneak it. maybe the draw/spurs could represent a good outside bet but I wont be touching this game myself

Re: English Prem 2/3/4th Jan

Man City v Spurs

Spurs +0.25 @ 1.84 VC

Spurs will want to keep the pressure on Manyoo and Liverpool with a win here, while Man City need to stay in the hunt for a Top 5 or 6 finish.
Neither side has a very good record vs Top Half teams:
Spurs: P8: 1-5-2
Man City: P8: 1-2-5
Where Spurs are concerned they have the big advantage of being able to score on a regular basis: ranker 3rd in the EPL.
Also they have the 5th best defence , which works well in their favour when you see them losing at HT , with only Chelsea having a better response in terms of results at the end of the next 45.
Spurs don't really leak goals in any set period...they leak them all over the 90mins, but usually just the one.
Man City are weak in the opening and closing 10mins of the 1st half, and the middle of the 2nd . They hit sides at the start and the finish of matches , showing their lapses of concentration inbetween.
I say that Spurs will score. Therefore Man City will need 2 to beat this handicap mark.
Now, Spurs lost 2-0 to WBA last week, but I will put that down to an aberration of sorts. It was only thier second loss on the road and WBA had taken a point at White Hart Lane on the opening day...so maybe a bit of a bogey...who knows?
Spurs are very strong in the 2nd 45 of all matches, with only Chelsea and Manyoo above them in points gained. They are , conversely, one of the worst in the 1st 45 : ranked only 15th.
If they can keep it clean or level till the break I'd say that this bet is a winner...no worries....if the are leading at the break...ROCK ON TOMMY!!
Man City have only managed to 'win to nil' once this season:Everton 2-0...which lends support ot my belief that Spurs WILL score and Man City are then looking for 2...tough call.

Aye good luck Eddy you make it sound a reasonable bet but i'm with Keemanan and others and i aint touching it. Gonna get into the weekend stuff and leave all this new year festive stuff in the past.

Is anyone else still living in xmas past and considering a bet on this?

Re: English Prem 2/3/4th Jan

Wouldent touch it myself either, and without Reyna we don't have a playmaker so no doubt City will struggle to score as usual when he isnt playing as Vassel and Cole are not really long ball merchants but like it played through on the ground with something to run at.

As Keema says Sibieski won't be a big miss apart from his heading now Reyna isnt playing and and he can hold a ball but i much prefer to see Ireland get a game and gain some more experience though he will have his work cut out against the spurs midfield who have some quality.

I don't like to say this but i can see City getting beat by the odd goal.

Fouls811
Corner Kicks128
Offsides53
Time of Possession61%39%
Yellow Cards22
Red Cards00

that about sums up the problems facing Pearce at the moment....all that possession and nothing to show for it. Seems to be a slump in confidence, plus their defence is having a shit time. Hope he gets it back on track as I like Man City and what he has done for them.

That's the 4th match in a row for Spurs to have a 2-0 scoreline....3 in their favour.....was worth a speculative punt...anyone have it?

Sorry eddy. I read your post followed by Slick's and noticed he'd ended with: "I don't like to say this but I can see City getting beat by the odd goal." And Keem was leaning toward a Spurs win. Ehhhm, some good calls.
