Re: Welsh Premier League Jan 2nd

These are the teams that won away last week , can their home advatage secure a win ?
Port Talbot Town - Llanelli 0-1

Welshpool Town - Total Network Solutions 1-2

Connah's Quay Nomads - Rhyl FC 0-1

Carmarthen Town - Haverfordwest County 2-3

I think table toppers TNS@1.16 and Rhyl @1.5 should achieve the wins easily.TNS price is very small considering Welshpool are 4th in the league.I would rather risk my money on Rhyl[3rd] at home to Connah's Quay[15th]
Llanelli[7th]@1.7 are inconsistant but have had good results against the better clubs.Port Talbot[2nd]@3.4 this was P.T. 2nd defeat both at home.A difficult game to predict, but 3.4 is tempting for a 2nd place team that has not lost away.Haverfordwest[6th]@1.83 were leading 2-0 at h.t. ,in the second half one from each side got sent off .Haverfordwest went 3-1 on the 90th minute before Carmarthen[10th] scored their second goal in injury time.

These are the 4 teams that won at home can they do the same away?

Airbus - NEWI Cefn Druids 3-2

Aberystwyth Town - Porthmadog 4-1

Caersws - Newtown AFC 2-1

Bangor - Caernarfon Town 1-0

Airbus[13th]@2.2 came back from two early goals from Cefn [18th].
My team Porthmadog[11th] got an early goal and then nothing else from this game .Port struggle when their striker Owen is missing. If he does not play on Monday I believe Aberystwyth[12th]@2.5 will succeed .
Caersws[9th]@3.0 are a team in form after a poor start to the season.Newtown[8th] are going in the opposite direction , recent results have let them down after a good start to the season, they were 2nd.
Caernarfon[17th]@3.6 were beaten by a last minute goal from Bangor[5th].At home a win could kick start their season.

In summary these are my impressions, but there is plenty of time to change my mind if there is further news[getting news over the New Year may be difficult though].

Caernarfon v Bangor City @3.60 possible home win [1/10]
Haverfordwest v Carmarthen @1.83 worth considering [7/10]
Llanelli v Port Talbot @3.40 ,but draw a danger [4/10]
Cefn v Airbus @2.20 away win [6/10]
Newtown v Caersws @3.00 going with the form side [5/10]
Porthmadog v Aberystwyth @ 2.50 waiting for team news [5/10]
Rhyl v Connah's Quay @1.50 home win [9/10]
T.N.S. v Welshpool Town @1.16 no value here -NO BET

Re: Welsh Premier League Jan 2nd

Llanelli v Port Talbot @3.40 - looking better
Are there more on the way .

Welsh weather not compatable with the Spaniards of Llanelli.
Cipri was a bit of a stabilizing influence in midfield, he was much more experienced than the other Spaniards, Llanelli will miss him

Quote:
IT'S JUST TOO COLD FOR CIPRI

Cipri Rodriguez has returned to Spain.
AFTER seeing striker Rudy Torres depart for Hamilton Academical, Llanelli have now lost Cipri Rodriguez.
The 32-year old midfielder, who joined from Second Division outfit Algeciras, has returned to Spain after playing just five Welsh Premier games for the Reds.
"It was a simple matter of him not getting on with the weather here in Wales," says first-team coach Peter Nicholas.
"The other Spanish lads have adapted well enough, but he really struggled when the climate got colder."
But there is better news for Nicholas at the turn of the year with the gradual return to fitness of Efren Fernandez, who broke his leg at Aberystwyth.
"Efren is doing some light jogging and hopefully he'll continue to improve his fitness over the coming weeks," added the former Wales skipper.

Re: Welsh Premier League Jan 2nd

Porthmadog v Aberystwyth

I spoke to Port keeper Harvey early last night , Carl Owen should be back for tomorrow , Port players realised they played poorly a week ago against Aber and got their biggest bollocking of the season from their manager , Harvey says that they will be a different team tomorrow.I will be going down to watch the boys so my loyalty is swaying my betting , might have a small stake on Port.

REDS' STRIKER HEADS FOR SCOTLAND

Llanelli's Rudy Torres is headed north of the border for Hamilton Academical.
LLANELLI'S Spanish marksman Rudy Torres is off to Scotland, to join First Division front-runners Hamilton Academical.
One of four players recruited by director of football Lucas Carzorla, Torres was previously with Malaga CF and San Pedro in Spain.
Since arriving at Stebonheath Park, the 21-year old has scored three goals from nine Welsh Premier starts for the Reds.

Nice to see you popping in here Computer Guy

This was mentioned few weeks ago - not a prolific scorer here in Wales , against some poor sides , so he may struggle up in Scotland.
It has been reported that approaches have been made for others at the club ,but the management there are talking about strengthening the side. My knowledge about the clubs down South Wales is limited it has been mentioned that a few of Port Talbot "stars" refused to go full time with Llanelli as it was not worth it financially.I do not have any info on the figures involved though

Not your mistake mate , it wasn't this thread , it was about two weeks ago.
I know trains are slow and we've had a few bank holidays , but two weeks from Llanelli to Hamilton is a bit excessive.

Been to get the newspaper this morning , saw Porthmadog captain in the betfred bookies playing the free standing roulette machine , so he was not very verbal about today's chances ," worth a few quid on us ,but not big stakes".Local betfred do not take bets on this league though.Port striker Owen returning , defender Davies 70/30 [ footballer talk!]

As previously mentioned these are the return leg of the back to back derby matches.Porthmadog v Aber the only one that is not classed as a derby. The Aber v Port match was the only one that had more than one goal difference , so it may be worth going with the outsiders in some matches.

These are my matchday selections,

Caernarfon v Bangor City @3.60
Haverfordwest v Carmarthen @1.83
Llanelli v Port Talbot@3.40 -good price on a team that was 2nd before boxing day match
Newi Cefn Druids v Airbus UK NO BET
Newtown v Caersws @ 3.00 Could pull off a surprise
Porthmadog v Aberystwyth @2.37 small stake interest only as i'm going to the match
Rhyl v Connah's Quay @1.40 - price shortened from 1.5 -easy home win
T.N.S. v Welshpool Town 1.16 NO BET poor price for TNS and possibility of a draw from 3rd place Welshpool

My bets today will be
Rhyl v Connah's Quay @1.40 single
Llanelli v Port Talbot@3.40 single
Porthmadog v Aberystwyth @2.37 single

Trixie
Caernarfon v Bangor City @3.60

Llanelli v Port Talbot@3.40

Newtown v Caersws @ 3.00

Sorry if this post is not excuding confidence .
Have a great New Year

Off to read the other British threads now to get some cracking bets
