Re: Scottish Highland League 27th Dec

Even better from highland league website they give you odds that local bookies give:

HomeHome TeamAway Away TeamDraw
10/11Buckie Thistle 9/4Keith9/4
4/5Deveronvale5/2Huntly5/2
7/2Fort William4/7Brora Rangers11/4
11/8Nairn County11/8Clachnacuddin2/1
7/1Rothes1/4Inverurie Locos7/2
5/1Wick Academy4/7Forres Mechanics3/1

So my wee bet of 1/4 Locos is actually evens!!! and 4/7 shot of Forres Mechanics is 10/11. Value.

That will be really handy for future weeks if BAW keep it up. It'll be worth seeing how accurate the local bookie is, and if they show accurate prices they can be used as a guide for true odds. The difference with the BAW prices is staggering there

Re: Scottish Highland League 27th Dec

Here is the article in full:

Given that Lossie upset the odds and won at the Broch on Saturday (a 28/1 shot) it is maybe worth the one pound pundit coming out of retiral and backing the underdogs again for tomorrow's matches.

Certainly those with an eye for a decent bet will be fancying the 9/4 you can get on Keith to beat Buckie and the 5/2 on Huntly to beat Vale. Fort William at 7/2 may also attract some interest while Rothes at 7/1 and Wick at 5/1 are also odds that catch the eye.

But what about lumping them altogether? Well for a five team accumulator involving those mentioned above the return on a pound would be £2457. Given that you can only win a max of £5000 on bets involving the HFL it could be worth £2!

Next i like Forres as paterson have sorted them out with a good record of 9-0-3 and Wick aint that great 10/11 seems a bit nice price there although wick home form is 2-1-4 and Forres away form is 4-0-2.

Don't really fancy anything else to be honest.

These were the two exact ones i liked on first look too Milners.

Definately an edge we can get over the bookies with this due to the local coverage which is reasonable. Always have a nosey about as i have a few mates playing here, and my next door neighbours family is the Loco's managers.

I remember one point last season Devornvale i think it was were basically putting out a reserve side in the cup final as they had already booked a stag night abroad yet you were still getting nice odds on the other one but i couldnt find anyone covering it. The other side duly obliged of course.

Locally - i do know Ladbrokes i think it is, cover this market each week in their shop down by the bus station at usually very good odds.

Will be giving this a look in from now on in. Nice first winner

Re: Scottish Highland League 27th Dec

Great stuff in here Milners and a nice touch with Forres Mechanics.

Re BetAndWin, I don't want to spoil the fun but a mate of mine was chopped to a maximum £25 a bet with them and he's not in any shape or form a high roller. His "crime" was to take them for a relatively modest sum over about half a season.

On the one hand I would like to see more books but on the other there would probably be less chance of B&W getting the odds wrong and if we can access the sort of info published in this thread, there must be an opportunity to do well - while it lasts.

Haven't really used betandwin only signed up when hibs was evens this season when everywhere else they was 4/5. Only think i've done 2 or 3 bets with them and not really made profit yet. We'll see how the highland league thing goes.

Re: Scottish Highland League 27th Dec

Great bet that one Milners

Re BAW - like Parahandy says they have a lot of shortcomings, and I've heard/read a lot of bad stuff about them, particularly with their treatment of punters who do well, but on the plus side I've never seen a bookie make so many mistakes as they do. My biggest profit at any bookie this season has been with them as they so often seem to go out on a limb and get things wrong. Then there was the Nascar live betting
