Re: CC League One - 28th December

Chesterfield unbeaten in last 7 and drawn last 4. Swindon look to have picked up themselves mind. Swoops hows about Walsall at Bradford? 2/1+ looks a bit big to me. Could be a bit drawy. Havent Bradford got some injuries to their strikers though?

Swansea at home to Gillingham looks like the 'banker' of the division. Anyone see any reason why not? Doncaster v Brentford looks a toughie. I was pleasantly suprised to see Brentford top of the league as i used to go and see them for a few season back in the late 80's and have a soft spot for them. I was wearing chinos and jackets with badges at the time whilst Rick Astley & Bros would be on the radio.

Oldham havent beaten Blackpool in the last 8 games. A bit of a Lanc derby is it not? Looks a bit hard to decipher to me. Folks are telling me Bristol City have 'turned the corner' lately. I used to like them at home. Just a shame if i back them they dont win. Surely they have to be considered here?

booooo colchester screwed me yesterday for getting my stake money back (nearly) they seem a dif side at home than they do away. Anyone expect them to bounce back?

Hartlepool v Southend for under 2.5? I couldnt back Forest away from home. I quite like Yeovil away from home usually. Anyone give them a chance tomorrow?

I'd love to say I can see a reason why not. Unfortunately I can't. Our performances have been looking up a bit of late, including away at Bournemouth where we were unlucky to go down 2-1 in the last minute, but the fact remains we've lost our last 5 away games in the league (and our last 7 away games if you count the Cups). With Swansea 7-3-1 at home for the season, it's hard to see the Gills getting anything from this one.

Gills will again be without Byfield, Hope, Hislop and Pouton, will Cox is doubtful after coming off injured near the end of yesterday's game. If he does miss out then presumably his Trinidad and Tobago team-mate Brent Sancho will come in. Tom Williams will also miss out as he's agreed a deal to move to Swansea when the transfer window opens.

Colchester screwed me too yesterday, and they're up against Scunthorpe, who also screwed me yesterday. Reckon Colchester should be back to winning ways, but I'm not overly convinced on that. Nothing else really grabs my attention at first glance in this league.

Re: CC League One - 28th December

Bradford v Walsall would be a real leave alone for me tbh. Tranmere went to Bescot on boxing day for a draw & thats what they got but both these sides are very unpredictable at the various venues. Walsall away are 2-3-6-14-18 & drew at Forest last time with 10 men but they have the sign over Forest. Previous to that they lost the previous 5 away games to teams like Oldham, MK Dons, Barnsley, Huddersfield & Port Vale......& theres some average teams in there !! Bradford at home are 3-3-5-10-11 with the last 5 at home only 1-1-3-3-5, & theyve won only 1 of their last 8 in the league.........No Bet
Swansea I couldnt back that short at the moment as theyve stuttered a little lately. theyve only won 1 of the last 5 in the league, beating Scunny 2-0, & theyve drawn with Tranny, Colchester & Doncaster before losing to Brentford yesterday. Granted the last 3 were tough games but the old confidence must have taken a knock. Gillingham havent won away all season but its silly season as proven by the results yesterday, & I certainly wouldnt tip Gills at 4/1 but I can see worse shouts. I just think that a decent side stuttering with confidence playing against a side who are expected to lose spells disaster at this time of year & I can see the Swans wheels coming off here.......No bet......oh go on then, I'm having a point on the Gills

Doncaster v Brentford just screams leave alone I think. Donny got hammered yeserday ny Forest & the cup hangover has kicked in but i think its in their favour playing afain so soon. Brentford flying high......no bet

Yeovil I like at Tranmere & I think 15/8 is decent. Tranmere have been turning it around a bit lately but the 2 days extra rest swings it Yeovils way for me.
Chesterfield you'd have to think should beat Swindon but Swindon turned over Colchester with a late goal yesterday which will have raised condfidence & I dont like it as it just looks too easy
Forests away form has been awful & after beating Donny 4-0 at home I think they may relax too much going to MK Dons who seem to win games like this one & Forest have lost 7 on the road, & at places like this.

Yeovil, MK Dons & possibly Gillingham for me.........madness

Bristol City for me.

Like the Evens on offer.

Been playing well the last 3/4 games. Only drew yesterday because the current first choice keeper dislocated his finger and the sub keeper fluffed a 30 yard free kick.

Other than that no real injury concerns and I was impressed by how we contained the Gills for the first half and the strength in depth on the bench.

Bossman Jonson was "disapointed" with the draw and i'm sure will be looking to take maximum points here.

I think I'm gonna go chasing an away win for Forest here. Just think it will have to come sooner rather than later and the h2h's look ok in favour of Forest.

Other one I'm on is Brentford away to Doncaster. They are going great guns and still think that if Forest can beat Doncaster 4-0 then the cup run has definately taken it toil. Another Away win.

Forest 6/4 and Brentford 7/4
