Re: CC League Two: 9th April

when x met y.....

...Torquay had most of the pressure and the best of the chances, most of them falling to young striker Jamie Ward...

.....Barnet extended their unbeaten run to three after a Tresor Kandol hat-trick helped them to a 3-2 victory over Rochdale. Rochdale controlled the opening stages of the game with Glenn Murray going close for the visitors only for Barnet keeper Lee Harrison tipping over his curling shot. The visitors deservedly took the lead just after the half hour when...............

...........Beaten only once in their last 10 outings, Chris Casper's Bury were much the better team in the first half. But some superb saves from Bristol keeper Steve Phillips kept the home side at bay, and Haldane and Walker's late strikes made sure Paul Trollope's team walked away with the points.........

.........The Stags have a good home record and Aaron McLean's 39th-minute opener was the first home goal Mansfield had conceded in 313 minutes. But it was deserved by a Posh side who had created a wealth of first-half chances with home goalkeeper Carl Muggleton producing a string of fine saves........

......Parkinson's 38 minute effort, his first at home since he moved from Grimsby in the summer, came totally against the run of play .........(Notts County)

well it's a start. I aint even gonna look at odds. I'm Expekt -ing to though soon

Anyone any ideas on the Wrexham v Notts Co match? Notts did us a favour on Saturday and after reading Wrexhams match report, they must have been abysmal. Odds of around 2.85 for Notts seem ok.

Re: CC League Two: 9th April

Howdo folks. Ive just had a great idea. Why dont i stop what im doing and just enjoy myself with a bet? Brilliant. It's like a busman's holiday for me.

Im always wary of taking on Wrexham at home Diomed but you never know. We just need to hear more opinion on the game possibly. Is there anyone betting either team? Im strictly Expekt today so i better go see what theyve got on offer first.

Good morning World

Re: CC League Two: 9th April

Macclesfield have still to win at Boston. Well since they were both in the top tier of leagues. Boston unbeaten in the last 5 meetings. Could be anything to me so barring any news or views from folks i think i'll be leaving that one.

Darlington v Lincoln looks a tough one to call to me too. I bet you there's some good reaing in todays game mind. Goals i was thinking and there looks to have been a few between them lately. Are Darlington in a bit of a lull? Arent Lincoln too? All down to who wants to win it more i suppose. Must win game for both too really.

Peterborough unbeaten in last 8 v Mansfield. Must be near neighbours too are they not? Barnet havent lost to Rochdale in the last 8 and also havent won away in 8. Just mentioning like.

Re: CC League Two: 9th April

Torquay dont look like theyve gave up to me. 2 wins, a draw and 4 defeats just by a goal. Maybe theyre due a bit of luck. The snippet from the report last time suggests that they might know how to play against Swindon. Are the teams that differant from that day?

Right here's my Bury boys. Here's hoping for a good price (wish me luck ).....they'll do for me poss. The first one for me to look at i think.

That looks a fair price for the Overs in the MK Dons game World. Good luck.

Holy hell Diomed. How wrong could i be about being wary of Wrexham at home. They aint the team that they were are they. Their home record shocked and suprised me there. Looks like a nice price your being offered too.

I'm a bit wary now myself...according to the Racing Post who tip Wrexham they'll be putting out a different team. I'll have to sit and suffer, cos we're already on Notts, who don't owe us anything anyway. The only good thing about this is that the Racing Post often gets it wrong

.
Must admit that I did follow the tip in the RP this morning on Macclesfield at 15/8.

Boston must now have the smallest squad in the entire league and it was only a matter of time before injuries and tiredness took its toll. They lost the last home game against Bury who are also struggling and were beaten against Notts C on Saturday.

I am not sure that everything that comes out of the managers mouth can be taken at face value but I did see the following in todays Lincolnshire Echo.

Quote:
Manager Steve Evans admits he may be forced to dip into the Pilgrims' youth team squad ahead of today's crucial home clash with Macclesfield Town (3pm).

Boston's 2-0 defeat at Notts County on Saturday inflicted another blow to their League Two survival bid. Goals from ex-United striker Jason Lee and Matt Somner condemned Boston to their second straight loss.

The Pilgrims will climb out of the drop zone today if they better the result of third-bottom Wrexham, who host Notts County.

However, Evans fears a string of injuries will hamper their chances against Paul Ince's Silkmen, who themselves are just five points clear of the bottom two.

"Ernie Cooksey, Mark Greaves, Jamie Stevens and Stewart Talbots are all struggling with injuries," explained an exasperated Evans, who had a squad of just 14 at his disposal on Saturday.

"We would rather have 10 days off so we can get players fit.

"But that's not the case, so up to four scholars may be getting the call.

"It's not ideal because they're not ready, but I may have no choice.

"We need a result today, but if we don't get that we'll need one against Hereford on Saturday.

"With what we are working with, we can't afford to dictate when we are going to get results.

"All we can do is put 11 players out on the pitch, shape up as best we can and have a right good go."

On a positive note, club skipper Paul Ellender will return to the side after serving a two-match suspension.

"We've really missed Ellender in the last two game," confessed Evans.

Brad Maylett and David Galbraith (above) are both pushing for a start against Macclesfield after coming off the bench against County.

Hopeful Jim ... page 45.

Re: CC League Two: 9th April

Hello Guys,

nobody here on the board talked about the Bristol Rovers Match!Bwin has still a odd of 1,80 which is pretty nice for this match!Bristol still fights for the promotion with Wycombe and Shrewsbury!Bury is a bad form team and i think odds about 1,80 are pretty nice!

Re: CC League Two: 9th April

some Wrexham fans I know [ they believed that they outnumbered the Maccelsfield fans ] were optimistic of Wrexham survival until Saturday's performance. This match report from my local paper [Daily Post ] does not make good reading.

Even the most optimistic Wrexham fan must be having a few doubts about the club’s continuing Football League status following Saturday’s abject showing at Macclesfield Town.
