Re: CC Championship: 9th April

Barnsley are in deep doodoo shipping goals for fun against teams with little to play for, Leeds resurgance has seen them drop into the bottom 3.
A solitary win in 4 at home too and they come up against Birmingham who have just been beaten at home by Burnley in a result that summed this division up for me. Is McSheffrey back for the blues , I aint sure at all. Amassive game for Bruces men abd I'm leaning toward them but ot convinced , if McSheffrey does play I may like the 10/11.

Cardiff cant be trusted after losing all their recent big games v the top 4 culminating in a poor 2-1 home defeat v Wednesday .Burnley look safe now mind .
Colchester v Leeds is a massive game for both clubs ,Leeds obviously need points and have the wind up them. Colchester 4 points from a play off spot , they wont lie down

Derby are steady under the pressure , more so than Birmingham and with Sunderland looking invincable they will need to beat Coventry here . I notice Lupoli was on the bench v Leicester , he's a good player and I'd want him starting to be happy with a punt at 8/15.

Norwich may interest some at home to a suprisingly shakey WBA. Cant back Norwich as WBA may enjoy an open game.

more tomorrow

Plymouth v Leicester looks a dead game there

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

maybe raver but having to win is a factor which should be dismissed entirely from your thoughts IMO. The better factor is the 'nothing to play for' mindset , and it applies more to teams playing relegation threatened sides I have found.

Preston v southend is another battle of nerves , the wites need Nugent to find his boots again because they are blipping at the wrong time wrong place. They lie 2 points above 7th place so their excellent season could end in tears. WBA are in a similar position , Soton are flying at the moment and Wolves have played some hard games of late .Stoke are right on their tails and are playing well too .It's ultra tight at the top. Southend are odds on to drop down although it's tight there too
QPR are finishing the season with a flourish with 3 wins in 4 whereas Luton have scored 1 in 5 games with 4 defeats in there.Odds of 8/11 do look nice there
Wednesday v Ipswich represents two teams in good form . The Owls unbeaten in 8 with 2 wins on the bounce, Ipswich have 3 wins on the trot albeit against the 3 worst sides in the division at the moment. For that reason the home win may appeal at odds against .
Stoke look a bit stingy but how good must they feel after twatting the Baggies away yesterday. Palace beat Preston but haven't anything to play for really
Wolves v Hull - who knows , this is there easiest game on paper for a while but I'm not wasting time on this one
Soton v Sunderland is very interesting indeed , Sunderlands run cant go on forever but Southamton aren't as good as they think they are really. Blood and guts tie this and I cant see me getting involved
Looks like QPR are the only deffo bet for me this bank holiday

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

been to the last two brum games, excellent against coventry 3-0, poor yesterday against a very defensive burnley who frustrated everybody and brum didnt have the guile and craft to break them down. mcsheffrey played yesterday, was very average like the other ten on the pitch, still fancy us to beat a poor barnsley side who are crap defensively, bruce has the luxury of rotating the team with 5 strikers vying for two places, over 6000 bluenoses will be present so it should be like a home game.definitely going to back my team here, think you can get evens on the bet fred coupon

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

Cheers Broms, barnsley will have to come at you and that will play into your hands. The best counter attacking display anywhere has to be your humbling of Newcastle so I'm on now, especially as McSheffrey is playing

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

If they both bring their best games then yes Derby will win , therein lies the problem.
Unable to see off Leicester and with Sunderland looking nailed on for a place the stakes are raised at The Baseball Ground ,nerves will be exposed .Top of the league but with only the 7th best scoring record they dont cry out CCC champions to me. A great support but if they dont score early the edgyness could set in .
Derby did beat Cov at The Richo but that was in the Adams era, Dowie has come in and quashed relegation fears but he's fighting against those end of season blues.
He came in and inspired a run of 6 unbeaten against a middling bunch of teams, they are safe now and training must be realaxed as he plans for next season and the players are under no pressure. Their 2 bad defeats away at a misfiring Birmingham when all accounts suggested they didn't turn up to a pathetic loss to a relegation threatened QPR.
I would favour Derby here all things considered and I'd prey for an early goal

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

QPR vs Luton looks interesting. QPR have started to win games and have won three of their last four games now. They need a couple of more points to avoid a relegation spot. Luton on the other hand looks doomed. They are still poor, even with a new manager in charge.

My bookmaker Centrebet offers 1.95 for a homewin and I say thank you mam.

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

isnt stevie howard back for derby now? cov reasonably safe too, could tip the game derbys way for me.
kamara needs to start tomorrow, inject more pace and trickery up front, cos i hate that etheringthon and he'll probably net if he does, dnb @ 185 isnt the worst odds ever, but with huckerby finding his scoring boots of late...goals anyone ?

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

Colchester v Leeds

Despite Leeds upturn in form recently, I cannot yet trust us defensively and Colchester have three wins on the trot themselves. So I think Colchester will at least score once. Leeds look to be missing both full backs from Saturday through injury (Frazer Richardson and Michael Gray, who has been outstanding since arriving from Blackburn on loan).

Colchester interesting me at 2.1 with a possible cover on correct score 1-1 at 7.5

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

I'll be on Leicester and Birmingham today:

Leicester... watched their match against Derby on sky [ I was on Derby] , I thought Leicester were the better side in the second half .To comeback from being 1-0 down against the league leader and playing decent football , creating chances and working hard throughout the match .Plymouth have lost recent matches to teams in the bottom half of the table [ Leeds ,Burnley Ipswich and Barnsley ]with their home win against Palace sandwiched in the middle.

Birmingham... I'm in agreement with keemanan and broms ,they are best side in this league with class players against the poor Barnsley,

Re: CC Championship: 9th April

good work mates,

i think also that Birmingham has to win today! It is a game where you can win 3 points for the promotion!
Odds around 2,00 are very very very nice!
