Re: English Premiership: 9th April
Fair comment but City tradtionally lower thier standard to the opposition , had Charlton gone at us I belive we would have played better. City's away form has been good recently and Hamaan is back I think tomorrow , we need an anchor and should he start I wouldn't back against us v Fulham

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
The best bet in any city match is to go for the 0-0, i was cursing myself on friday cos I told myself I would put £20 on the 0-0 at 11/2 but I didnt cos im a tit.
We dont look like scoring or conceding.
No goals in 5 home games and Pearce then plays a 4-1-4-1 system for the whole match. Using a striker on one wing, and a central midfielder on the other.
Richards and Hamman are back, I would like to see Richards in midfield. Looking at some stats, only Liverpool and Chelsea have kept more clean sheets than us. Likewise the above are the only 2 teams on better away form.
City have failed to score more times than any other team.
When City have scored first (10 matches) they have won alll 10, best record in the league for scoring first.
City play boring shite football and are awful to watch.

adding to that, there's also the Alan Pardew connection with Reading, as a player at Cyrstal Plance, he served under current Reading manager Steve Coppell and took the team to the FA Cup finals with the famous goal versus Liverpool, and then as a manager, brining Reading to prominence from being division two strugglers (103 wins in 213 games under his reign) ... with Europe not a priority, wouldn't be surprised if Coppell lends a helping hand to an old Reading legend ...

NEWCASTLE-ARSENAL
I think that the in this competition will fall through much wickets.Innocent, who'd could win,but shoots Magpies certainly once will enforce.Absence attackers Arsenal is able to mean waste tri points.I think that the overalls 2,5 will best option.Sorry for my bad english.
GL all.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
not sure i see newcastle scoring today, tbh, alot of talk about arsenal in poor form, but i dont think they played bad at all on saturday, they did everything but stick the ball in the net.
Had they converted just one in the first half...different game.
Quality will decide the game, and Arsenal outnumber Newcastle in that dept thats for sure and to get 1.95 or so for Arsenal -0.25 is not one to pass up.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
I'm interested in Pompey, Man City, Arsenal and Charlton (all small stakes).
Particularly interested in Arsenal. I only saw the highights and as Win has mentioned they where denied by fantastic saves and hitting the woodwork and they had something like 30 shots on goal and stats like that are awsome (even although they get beat)....
Newcastle will not lie down easily and as kalishane has also mentioned the overs I think this is the way to go but I initially thought Evens would be decent but as above is on offer I'm going to have a piece.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
Howdy folks... I'd rather see things in different perspective when it comes to betting.. for example it'd be just to easy to jump on the portsmouth bandwagon even when knowing that a handful of regulars are likely to be dsidelined.. afterall, they'd just triumphed against man utd..
In a few hours they will be taking on watfords.. and I have this feeling that the homeside will not lose this one...especially with a healthy odds on the visitors..
watford level for me

just reading the guardian this morning, says parker is out with an ankle injury and if arsenal were going to enjoy the lions share of possession today, they will enjoy even more so now. emre will probably fill in, good as he may, he is a f lazy shit, leaving butt doing all the running around...
here's hoping given doesnt do a robert green today, im in for a coupla units on arsenal for sure.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
think everton not to lose seems the best value to me, little in the two sides, an extra day's rest and good record against bolton means that there price is on the generous side.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
I like the look of Portsmouth on the asian handicap +0. Coming off the back of the victory over Man Utd morale is sure to be high.Pompey are still chasing a UEFA cup spot so have everything to play for.Watford have only won one of their last ten home games and may also have one eye on next weeks FA Cup semi against Man Utd.
Portsmouth's away record isn't great so I will take the safer option of Portsmouth DNB @ 1.71

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
The magpies has always faltered to deceive towards the end of the season, I watched the arsenal game on saturday, all they need was a tad more luck.
Asian looks good on 1/4 1.85, you get half the stakes back in the case of a draw.
Cheers

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
For me homewin here is a good move. Better form for CHARLTON and bad away results for READING is thw first reason.
The second reason is the next games. Much better program for SHEFFILD UNITED until the end of the championship. But CHARLTON play at home with SHEFFILD. Look the program of the next matches and you understand why i play homewin today.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
charlton look a good price to see off reading. they are doing a great job recently and are just above the relegation zone now after 3 wins & 2 draws in last 5. Meanwhile Reading have just 1 point in last 6.
Everton look good value to beat Bolton. Good chance of a draw though, so backing them on the asians with 0, +0.5 being around evens.

Re: English Premiership: 9th April
After watching highlights of Saturday's games two sides that were unlucky to lose were Arsenal and Reading , quite a few on here look like following Arsenal but few seem to be following Reading.
Reading looked decent against the form team Liverpool whilst Charlton never looked like scoring against Man City.
So its Arsenal and Reading for me
