Lincoln v Stockport - Stockport, 2pts 5-2
After four consecutive play-off campaigns in the Football League basement, Lincoln City look likely to miss out on automatic promotion again after an alarming run of form.
Even though their opponents Stockport go into today's clash on the back of five games without a win, they look worth a poke at a generous looking 5-2.
Certainly, those are odds you would have had no hope of getting four or five weeks ago when the Hatters went eight games without conceding a goal.
The wheels have come off their own quest for a League One berth, but they could gain an advantage over a team they wouldface in the semi-finals if the table were to remain unchanged.
The main basis for support is the Imps' poor home record in recent times.
Three of the last four matches have seen the visitors – Hereford, Mansfield and Swindon – take maximum points from Sincil Bank and it would take a lot of confidence to back them – odds-on in places, to stop the same fate happening again.
County certainly provide a sterner test than the first two.
They looked industrious and played some attractive football against the Robins but the 3-2 scoreline was flattered by a late goal from Mark Stallard.
It all seems a long time since they came away from Walsall with three points on February 16 and the Hatters are still capable of capitalising.
Barnet v Hartlepool - Hartlepool, 3pts evens
The Bees managed to hold on to a 2-1 victory against Darlington last week, even though they played against ten men for 88 minutes and Paul Fairclough's side will have to raise their game considerably if they are going to get anything from Hartlepool's visit to Underhill.
Pools have scored three goals in six of their last nine games and look to be cantering to the title, having been 25-1 at the turn of the year.
And, for a team that has gone 23 games without defeat, there arevery few times that they will be available at evens, especially against a team who find themselves in the bottom third of any unspectacular section.
Danny Wilson has his team in storming form and the Bees are just too inconsistent to trust.
While they ended Stockport's record-breaking run last month, strugglers Wrexham and Accrington have both left north London with the points in recent weeks.
