Re: English Prem 3rd/4th/5th Dec
Wigan for some early Sat joy? Looks like a low scoring tight game to me. Blackburn/Everton to draw. Arsenal dont have a great record at Bolton do they? Theyre on the way back though arent they?
Newcastle anyone? surely they'll be primed and ready for this one v Villa who havent impressed me from what ive picked up. Spurs seemed a bit short v Sunderland to me but what do i know. Portsmouth half time?

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
Liverpool v Wigan
Well i know Wigan have impressed everyone so far and their reserves did the business stuffing Newcastle last night but i can't see through Liverpool here.
5 successive league wins without their opponents scoring isn't it?
All this with misfiring strikers who have to come good eventually don't they?
Wigan will put up a battle but i think Liverpool will have too much class for them in the end.
Maybe a handicap bet to consider with them in the coming days.
Blackburn v Everton
Really like Blackburn here.
Everton got a much needed win last week against a below par Newcastle side once again but they didn't impress me too much in fairness and a solid all round Blackburn outfit should do the business.
Blackburn are in great form...
11-26 Arsenal 3-0 Blackburn
11-19 Man.City 0-0 Blackburn
11-05 Blackburn 4-1 Charlton
10-29 Chelsea 4-2 Blackburn
10-22 Blackburn 2-0 Birmingham
10-15 Liverpool 1-0 Blackburn
10-01 Blackburn 2-0 West Brom
Have been picking up comfortable home wins against sides of similar quality at the minute.
Their defeats have been unlucky too. Chelsea game they made a right game of it going in 2-2 at the break before Chelsea's superior quality killed them off.
Thats 3-0 defeat to Arsenal flattered the Gunners a lot i felt and a draw minimum wouldve been the correct result as Blackburn created a good number of chances.
Momentum and confidence will be high after last nights superb comeback away to Charlton with Blackburn getting 3 goals in final 15 mins to win the game.
Bar a couple of 1-0 wins Everton have been poor on the road and went down 4-0 at WBA last time out so the evens for Blackburn for me looks too good to refuse.
Newcastle v Villa
Two truly awful sides at the minute.
If there is anything separating the two it is that Newcastle do have quality in their ranks and have shown glimpses of it in their last few games but in little spells.
You expect a massive performance here against Villa in front of their fans as Souness's days are getting shorter and shorter through each defeat.
Same could be said for Villa too i suppose.
Newcastle going for their 4th league home win in a row but the h2h is quite worrying actually with 1 win against Villa in their last 7 meetings between the two.
If i can get a bit higher than evens i will be on the home win though.
WBA v Fulham
I like backing Fulham away as i feel it suits their style of play compared with when they play at home.
Away they can play quick efficent attacking football and have done so this season and they have the players to do it well in Boa Morte, John, McBride and Malbranque
Middlesbro 3-2 Fulham
Wigan 1-0 Fulham
Charlton 1-1 Fulham
Tottenham 1-0 Fulham
Newcastle 1-1 Fulham
Doesn't look too pleasing on the eye there away results but their performances have merited them coming away with far more points.
Away to Newcastle it was Owen's first game and they completely dominated Newcastle and should've won by a good few and Newcastle were very fortunate to come away with a point.
Charlton game along the same way but not as one sided. Live on Sky and Fulham looked like scoring every attack they went on in the Charlton half.
Wigan game was their most unluckiest as Wigan scored a last minute winner with one of their only shots on target after Fulham again dominated the match but were unlucky with the Wigan keeper doing heroics in the goal.
Last time out v Boro they were 2-1 up with 15 mins left and went down 3-2 with one goal being a dodgy onside call by the linesman.
So they are putting in the performances and its only a matter of time before they get the 3 points imo and 2/1 is a very nice price on them too.
WBA are no mugs and will give a fight but its against the average EPL sides they seem to struggle against in the league whilst against the bigger sides they seem to raise their game.
Only the matches there that really interest me pricewise as the rest are too short for me too back imo.
I mean you can never trust backing a Spurs side at 1/3 even if it is against a very poor Sunderland side.
Best left alone.

I second that kiko, been looking at it all morning and im trying to swindle 1.9 for Blackburn -0.25 from a personal bookie, but a part of me is thinking that the cup excursions may well take some toll on them this saturday, (and most probably, Cahills hearing will lead to a suspension as he swing an arm irregardless if he came worse off) but a big factor is the form and unit Blackburn are slowly forgeing.
Though they have lost 3 of the last 7 matches (all away mind you), there is no shame losing to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
I would really like to hear MrM's side to the Everton team at the moment....injuries or what not....

Hi, what do you think about these three matches? Which one is most safer up to you? Do you see any risk for 3 home wins?
3 Dec-15:00 Chelsea v Middlesbrough 1/4 4/1 9/1
3 Dec-15:00 Tottenham v Sunderland 1/3 16/5 8/1
3 Dec-17:15 Man Utd v Portsmouth 1/5 9/2 11/1

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
All 3 clear home wins but the odds suggest this.
One to watch is Man Utd though as they have a very important Champions League game coming up so you vcould possibly have Man Utd rest some players but i doubt it because they have some momentum going in the league at the minute.
Rooney and Van Nistelrooy really have taking their performance levels up a couple of notches in recent weeks and are causing havoc in their opponents box.
Portsmouth are a side in turmoil just now. Lots of unrest in that club which never comes out well for when the side are playing.
Tottenham again should have too much for a poor Sunderland who at this rate will break the record for least league points which they already hold.
Spurs have a great unit growing there and if they want to have any aspirations and ambitions they should overturn Sunderland, and comfortably too.
Chelsea should have too much but Boro are a side i never like going against, as they have it in them to put in a big match performance as has been shown already this season with the wins over Man Utd and Arsenal, although these were home games.
So in all Farnerud i think its a safe treble on paper and i would be surprised, very surprised infact to see any of the home wins drop points in these 3 games.
Hope this helps mate .GIF)

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
I still need more covincing from spurs to score more than a goal in every game kiko, i know were playing against sunderland, and our team on paper is far more superior, but, its always a worry when your team can't provide 2 goal cushions in games they should be killing off. We managed to get two against wigan, but i always had that feeling theyd get a goal back...and we held for the win.
Maybe, we can do the business this saturday, and im glad Robbie has been getting chances to play of late, as he deserves to. Alot of talk is about why Jol keeps subbing the small man for another, whether it be defoe for keane or vice-versa, when its true that often its Mido that looks more tired midway through the 2nd half.
But at odds of 1.3 - 1.35 for a straight win and 1.5 for a (-1)AH i think are too short for any punt on us...which begs the question, is it worth the gamble to take us (-1.25)@1.88 ?
...may well be worth a look

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
Yeah, think I'll be backing blackburn as well this weekend, recent games have been promising and I was impressed with the highlights of the Arsenal v Blackburn game on Sat even though they got beat 3-0.
If Owen doesnt play for Newcastle on sat I am gonna be all over 0-0 as these two look like they could play all week and not score, reports suggesting he will be back though (now watch this game be 6-6 with 20 mins to play)

It is Kiko, 7 on the trot if you want to throw in the Two CL games against Anderlect and Betis.
We must be due to concede one soon and Wigan look good for it.
They have been playing some good passing, attacking football this season and they will be giving their all to try and get a result for the gaffer on Saturday. P.Jewell spent the biggest part of his playing career in the reserves for Liverpool, he'd love to get a result at Anfield. Wigan will definately be up for this.
However their defence has been a bit suspect over their last 2 games, they conceded 2 and 3 at home to Spurs and Arsenal.
I'm thinking of going correct scores on 2-1, 2-2, 3-1

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
First glance Arsenal Jump out for me @ nearly evens.
There starting to get their act together and should b to strong against a decent Bolton side who would @ most only be expecting a point from this.
Arsenal after having a relatively slow start to there season are now beginning to motor, especially since the return of Henry and the confidence the newbies and youngsters are beginning to show.
At the beginning of the season they played with a bit of swagger but were soon taught a lesson and now are beginning to knuckle down and break sweat.
Bolton will give them a good game but i have a feeling they wont be expecting to win this.

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
Some interesting stats im reading just now....
- Wigan have gone 334 minutes since conceding a goal away from home
- Fulham have let 13 pts slip from a leading position this season - no team has wasted more
- 16 of Chelsea's 21 home goals this season has come in the second half
- 5 red cards in last 4 league games between Newcastle and Villa
- Man Utd have sored one goal in each of their last seven league games at home
- Charlton have taking just 12 pts from a possible 45 at home in 2005
Could try some very small stake bets using some of this info. Chelsea draw/ft looks a good shout.
Fulham ht/draw or Fulham ht/WBA ft too maybe.
1-0 Man Utd also?
Always interested in trends and stats like this truth be told. Make of it what you wish though.

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec
Not really a stats man Kiko but i'd say Wigan are on he slip not taking the Carling cup game into account against Newcastle as it was virtually there second string for Wigan that is.
I cannot see them keeping Liverpool out or even consider backing against the scouse.
